In our facility in Poland in the Educational Institutions Complex, we have not forgotten about this important holiday on April 2, 2022.

The celebration of World Autism Awareness Day was aimed at raising public awareness and drawing attention to the discrimination, isolation and abuse that people with autism often experience.

Autism is a serious, holistic developmental disorder involving the cognitive, emotional and social spheres of a child. As a holistic disorder, it affects all areas of functioning, contributing to the occurrence of irregularities in social relations, communication and the way of playing.

As part of this activity, all students of our school and preschoolers were dressed in blue.

We participated in discussions, conversations, watched movies, made posters related to this holiday and solved interactive quizzes in wardwall, Kahoot and ILS worksheets programs.

We learned acceptance and understanding.

Let us not be indifferent, let us be blue!

Last week we celebrated the Global Education Week for Peace and Partnership in our school.

That time coincided with the "Orange Ribbon Campaign", which aimed to increase public engagement in preventing violence against children. As part of the undertaken activities, we conducted live discussions with students and prepared an exhibition of posters "Violence - I think and react".

Another activity was the cooperation of our school with some organizations and companies operating locally. During the "Entrepreneurship Week" our students got to know different places and raised their own awareness about what can be done for our world and its protection.

In younger grades I – III, children sang English songs, watched short films about peace, learned about the its symbols and expressed their peace associations using digital tools. After that, they took part in poster competitions.

Older students watched the presentations: What does peace mean to you?, after which they led the discussions.  They worked with graphics tablet and created poster of the holiday.  They also completed the lyrics of the song and guessed the peace slogans, they learned to make a cloud of words together "peace word cloud" using the cloud maker generator  wordart.com to create their own on the base of mannual of using the program prepared by the teachers of our school.  The oldest students solved peace quizzes in the Kahoot app and made mini presentations with peace quotes in various programs. All activities were carried out using an interactive whiteboard.

| All students were engaged and had a great time and developed their digital and multilingualism competences, understanding and information creation, as well as cultural awareness and expression competences. Students learned traditions, symbols, well-known dishes and typical vocabulary related to holidays in Romania, Poland, Spain, Italy and Portugal. These were flipped lessons that encouraged students to cooperation, communication and help to develop their technical skills. Digital learning has made learning interesting and fun for students. As part of the activation activities of the Erasmus+ project ''Digitization of kindergarten and primary school'' 2021-1-RO01-KA220-SCH-000030045, students of grades IV to VIII prepared in the period from 12-16.12.2022 and presented at English classes multimedia presentations in various programs on Christmas in the partner countries of our project.

Students learned traditions, symbols, well-known dishes and typical vocabulary related to holidays in Romania, Poland, Spain, Italy and Portugal.

These were flipped lessons. All students were engaged and had a great time and developed their digital and multilingualism competences, understanding and information creation, as well as cultural awareness and expression competences.

On the occasion of Earth Day 2023, a series of three-day educational workshops "Janów Commune under the blue sky" was conducted in our school. We listened to the advice of the Eco-manager of the Subregional Union of Municipalities and Districts of the Northern Subregion of the Silesian Voivodeship, Ms. Dominika Bukalak-Gaik and on 26.04.2023. We cleaned up the area of Borek -green area near our school. In addition, students of our school took part in lectures, experiments and lectures with the use of multimedia equipment as part of the action "Give the Earth a breath - Janów Commune under the blue sky". We have prepared posters and leaflets about clean air. All ecological activities and competitions have been summarized during the "Festival of Ecological Thought 2023".

On the occasion of the International Autism Awareness Day, the students from the Buzau Inclusive Education School Center, guided by the teaching staff, carried out the activity "My blue world". The purpose of the activity was to convey the message for society, of integration and acceptance of children with autism, an occasion on which we must emphasize everything that means acceptance, tolerance and love towards people with conditions on the autistic spectrum.

Students of our school during the Europe Day, which as every year is celebrated around the world on May 9, learned about the history of the holiday, symbols of the EU, names of countries, recognized flags. They made word cloud proposals in Word Art, made language quizzes about the EU and European countries in quizzies, kahoot and Learning apps.

Pupils in the younger grades made art works and worked on multimedia boards creating symbols, the EU flag and learning basic expressions in foreign languages. Students engaged in various activities using digital communication and information tools, m.in: online encyclopedias, audio and video materials, multimedia presentations and mobile applications.

At the end of the school celebrations of Europe Day, they got acquainted with the exhibition "Europe 20 years ago..." and danced several European integration dances.

The Agrupamento de Escolas de Vieira de Leiria encompasses the entire geographical area of the village, distributed among the places that form the administrative division of the parish of Vieira de Leiria. The Group also receives students from other educational areas, particularly from the Municipality of Leiria and specifically from the parishes of Carvide, Monte Real and Monte Redondo.
Ordinance No. 791/75, of December 31, created the Preparatory School, which began operating in the academic year 1975/76; in 1977, in a process of continuity, Ordinance No. 244/77, of May 9, created the Secondary School, successor to the former Colégio Beira-Mar and which continued to operate in the following academic years on the premises of the aforementioned college.
From 1984 onwards it operates in new installations, created from scratch. On the proposal of the management body and obtained the agreement of the Municipality of Marinha Grande, it takes the name of Escola Secundária José Loureiro Botas, by decision of the Secretary of State for Educational Administration published in the II Series of the Diário da República of April 17, 1997 .
With the accession of the José Loureiro Botas Secondary School to the previous Vertical Grouping of Schools of Vieira de Leiria, headquartered at the Padre Franklin Primary School, it was created, on June 13, 2003, by Order of the Secretary of State for Educational Administration, and subsequently homologated on July 5, 2003, the new Grouping of Schools of Vieira de Leiria, whose head office becomes José Loureiro Botas Secondary School. In addition to these two contiguous schools, the 1st cycle schools of Passagem, Praia and António Vitorino de Vieira de Leiria, as well as the kindergartens of Vieira de Leiria and Praia, also form part of the Group.
The school building of José Loureiro Botas Secondary School is made up of two blocks: the classroom block and the multipurpose block. The classroom block consists of three floors: ground floor, 1st floor and 2nd floor. The Multipurpose block comprises two floors: ground floor and 1st floor. José Loureiro Botas Secondary School and Padre Franklin School use the Sports Gym and the Municipal Swimming Pool located in the vicinity of the schools and which also serve the community in general.

Following the mobility in Italy, carried out in the Erasmus+ project "Digitalization for kindergartens and primary schools" where we learned new coding and programming techniques and discovered the secrets of robots, today the Preparatory class students got to know Bee-Bot.

The students learned to program the robots Bee-Bot and Blue-Bot to go on an adventure to discover life on the farm, with the help of the maze they repeated the studied letters and played the popular game "Snakes and Ladders", learning their thinking and calculation skills.

The activity is a useful link between science, literacy, and ICT.
