As a newcomer to the education program and profession, there is a lot for me to learn before I feel comfortable running my own classroom. I am more than welcome to learning about new technologies and information that can help support my own learning in order to best support my students. ISTE states that "educators continually improve their practice by learning from and with others and exploring proven and promising practices that leverage technology to improve student learning." I believe that in order to become the best teacher I can be, I will never stop learning and will be on a continuous learning path throughout my career.

What I can readily admit is that I have (more than) a LOT to learn regarding technology use in the classroom. The last section of the ISTE Standards for Teachers outlines how teachers can effectively act as analysts in their classrooms, specifically regarding to technology This class, as well as a multitude of online resources that are made available, will be great guides for all of us throughout our teaching journey. The Office of Education recognizes the impact that technology can have in today's classroom and is a great resource for all teachers, regardless of experience. This is a link to their "toolkit" that is designed to help teachers learn how to best integrate technology into their classroom, given their district's capacities: https://tech.ed.gov/futureready/professional-learning/
