What happened at Concentration Camps?

The soldiers would force the people there to do hard tasks like different jobs that required a much better physical state than the prisoners had. The soldiers also tortured and/or killed the people that didn’t do their jobs or work well enough. Some of these jobs consisted of things like baking food, building things, and more hard tasks, many things that were especially hard to do when you had so little food and strength.

There were more than just Jewish people at concentration camps, although Jewish people were usually the main target. The prisoners wore colour-coded triangles to show why they were there. Some of the reasons for being at a concentration camp were,

Jewish people
Homosexual people
People who didn’t like or support Hitler
Or just anyone in general who didn’t fit the German “Normal”.

Why did Hitler do this?

Hitler wanted to make Germany rule the world, and for this to happen, in his mind, to do this every single German would need to be “Perfect”. In his eyes, a perfect German was tall, blonde, and had blue eyes. Hitler put anyone who did not meet these conditions (and more) in concentration camps to die.

There are multiple theories on how Hitler died, but the most popular ones are:

That he locked himself and his family in a bunker and they all killed themselves to avoid the punishment that they knew they’d have to face.
The other most popular theory is that he fled from Germany to somewhere far from there, like Argentina.

Did all of Hitler's soldiers agree with him?

No.

Not all of Hitler’s soldiers agreed with him, but if they didn’t agree they’d either have to pretend like they did, or they’d most likely be put into concentration camps for not agreeing with their leader.
