Task #1 Padlet

Setting up this Padlet was much easier than I imagined! I can definitely see myself using a Padlet when creating a KWL chart with my students or keeping us organized during a brainstorming/discussion. I could see myself using this to post or explore a lesson/assignment. It truly seems to have so many possibilities!!

I found Thinglink to be very easy for manipulate, however, I could never figure out how to properly link to my padlet. It would require me to pay in order to get the sharable link. Instead, I took a screenshot below. I made my thinglink about 'My Future Classroom' and what things I will have and why.

I found flipgrid to be incredibly fun to play around with and I could see students loving it as well. I mean, what kid doesn't enjoy taking selfies/videos? Students are able to watch other student videos; self reflect, and learn from each other in a personal way!

Task #4 - Linoit

Linoit is an electronic bulletin board application that can be of great use as a teacher or a student. I would personally use this application as a way to stay organized with lesson plans. I could see students using this as a back-up to their daily planners. Using an electronic bulletin board would make keeping track of homework assignments more fun for students!

I think the ready-made and teacher-made quizzes are wonderful, but making your own is really fun. In a kindergarten class I imagine using kahoot to create quizzes for beginning sounds, ending sounds, rhyming, spelling, addition, subtraction, ten frames, and science! The YouTube videos really helped walk me through how to make my own and I know I'll get better the more I play around with it.

Task #6 - Answer Garden

This collaborative word cloud generator is a lot of fun, kind of like an interactive whiteboard that can be accessed from multiple devices. The more people respond with one particular answer, the bigger the word becomes. I could see myself using answer garden as a brainstorming tech tool. Asking my driving question prior to a lesson, students can use this to collect their answers.

https://tinyurl.com/yyzgcq44
TinyURL can be very helpful when sharing URL websites with students. Often times they are so long, they can be impossible to remember and even hard to copied each letter or number. I would use this when also sharing websites with parents. In class newsletters I think it's important to link resources that are meaningful to the topic discussed and TinyURL would be very helpful for this.

https://tinyurl.com/yy99fekd
I use GoogleDocs in my personal life and I plan to continue to use the whole Google Suite once I become a teacher. Not only do I love the accessibility but I love the collaboration aspect. No need to send anything back and forth via email, thanks to Google Docs! I absolutely love the Read&Write extension for Google Chrome within Google Docs to support ELL students, early readers, and research. Google Docs is truly a must!

I used 'Storyboard That' to create my digital story. It was super user-friendly and it walked me through step-by-step. I love the idea of letting kids demonstrate their knowledge through storyboards. Often students can use the excuse that they aren't good at drawing but with this tool anyone can be an artist! These can be useful tools for visual and spatial learners. Students can work individually or in pairs to create a storyboard that presents their knowledge.
