Shahada (Faith):

The Shahada is the declaration of faith and is the first and most fundamental pillar of Islam.
It is a simple statement in Arabic: "La ilaha illallah, Muhammadur rasulullah," which translates to "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah."
By declaring the Shahada sincerely, a person becomes a Muslim and accepts the oneness of Allah and the prophethood of Muhammad.

Solat (Prayer):

Salat refers to the ritual prayers that Muslims are required to perform five times a day: at dawn (Fajr), midday (Dhuhr), mid-afternoon (Asr), sunset (Maghrib), and evening (Isha).
These prayers are a direct link between the individual and Allah and serve as a means of seeking guidance, forgiveness, and spiritual connection.
Muslims face the Kaaba in Mecca while praying, and the prayers involve specific physical postures and recitations from the Quran

Zakat (Charity):

Zakat is the obligation for Muslims to give a portion of their wealth to those in need
It serves as a means of wealth redistribution and helping the less fortunate members of the community.
Zakat is a form of social responsibility and is meant to purify the wealth of the giver

Sawm (Fasting):

Sawm refers to fasting during the holy month of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar.
Muslims fast from dawn (Fajr) until sunset (Maghrib) each day during Ramadan, abstaining from food, drink, smoking, and other physical needs.
Fasting during Ramadan is a means of self-purification, spiritual reflection, and empathy for those who are less fortunate.

Hajj (Pilgrimage):

Hajj is the pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, which every Muslim who is physically and financially capable is required to undertake at least once in their lifetime.
It occurs during the Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah and involves a series of rituals, including circumambulating the Kaaba, standing at Mount Arafat, and other symbolic actions.
Hajj is a significant act of devotion, unity, and spiritual renewal, and it commemorates the actions of the Prophet Abraham and his family.

Belief in Allah (God):

Belief in Prophets (Anbiya):

"Umar ibn al-Khattab said: I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, tell me about Ihsan.' He said, 'Ihsan is to worship Allah as though you see Him, and if you do not see Him, then know that He sees you.'"

- Surah Maryam verses 41 to 47 tell about Prophet Ibrahim and his father who is not Muslim and is an idolater.

- Even though he had a different religion from his father, Prophet Ibrahim never spoke rudely and always called his father with gentle and polite language.

- He called his father by call " YA ABATI "

with full love and respect toward his father.

- However, Prophet Ibrahim's father behaved in the opposite way by treating him very rudely, contrary to the nature expressed by Prophet Ibrahim.

- In Surah Maryam verse 46 :
He threatened, “How dare you reject my idols, O Abraham! If you do not desist, I will certainly stone you ˹to death˺. So be gone from me for a long time!”

- Prophet Ibrahim got threatened by his own father but he never hold grudges to his father.

- In the next ayah,Ibrahim responded to his father with this kind of ayah :
Abraham responded, “Peace be upon you! I will pray to my Lord for your forgiveness. He has truly been Most Gracious to me.

- Its clearly show that as a son or daughter in family we need to show our respect to out parents and treat them well in any circumstances. Indeed, Allah knows everything that we do not know.

- And not give up easily in seeking God's pleasure in order to be righteous people in this world and the Hereafter.

WHAT IT MEANS?

•Hikmah often refer to "wisdom" or "philosophy"in English.It is acquired through ibadah(worship).

•Eliza Tashibi said it is to discern the true nature of things and to act accordingly.

we also learn about ibadah,which is to believed that enganging in act of workship can help one to acquire hikmah.

Everythings we do in the world must have hikmah even the situation is good or bad.As example,we dont want to go to that school because of certain problem,but our parents force us to go there...we end up follow them and fluent with the environment,or maybe that school is really good such as they will focus on weak students who get bad result to make them success.Maybe if we dont go to that school,we will fail on certain subject?or maybe there are no teacher who wants to guide us.

Besides that,the ibadah action involves the physical acts,cultivation of inner qualities as example humility,sincerity and devotion.

We also learn about niyyah,amal and ehsan.

NIYYAH:we must setting the right niyyah and what we do is for the sake of allah

AMAL:we must performing good deeds and acts of worship.

EHSAN:we must have positives virtues,compassion,honesty and patience.

The sources of HIKMAH from IBADAH in Islam can include:

•Quran and Sunnah

Studying and reflecting on the teachings of the Quran,the holy book of Islam and the Sunnah,the practices and sayings of Prophet Muhammad(SAW),provide profound insights and guidance for leading a wise and righteous life.

•Recitation of Quran

Reciting,Understanding and contemplating the verses of the Quran during worship can lead to deeper insights and understanding of divine wisdom.

•Dhikr(remebrance of Allah)
