I sectioned off parts of the painting and just started to dab color on with a spunge. For the blue and pink parts I just mixed blue and white pain on the canvas to create  texture. For the day we did collage I glued the blue paper to the corners and pink paper as flowers to the blue tissue paper. My initials are in the red on the bottom right of the painting.  My favorite part of the painting would be the part that  I sectioned off on the eyes .

For my art work I wanted to have it look like it had just finished raining, and the sun was just coming out from behind the clouds because that’s how I interpreted the violin in the song. And I also heard or felt that the piano in the song was either raindrops falling on water or petals falling into water, so I choose peteles because the song is called rain and I don't want to be basic. I also had rain drops on the petals of my rose to show that it had just rained. I felt that the atmosphere was very calm but also isolated or just untouched. I choose the mountains because it reminded me of when I was in Thailand and we were driving through all the mountains after it had just rained and I had never felt more calm then when I was looking at them. The media I used was chalk pastel and acrylic paint for the hands. For the hands I pained where the I thought the light would hit them and where the different colors of light would hit the different parts if the hands. For the background I used the chalk and I just blended the colors together, but for the stars I scratched white chalk pastel to get the star effect. This project challenged me because I haven't drawn many hands and trying to figure out where the light would hit them was difficult especially because I was using acrylic which is hard to blend out. Something I learned by doing this project was how to paint hands and learning how to paint the reflection of the light on the hands.
