1.Close co-existence of people with nature and live-stock, unlike in cities. People share a special bond with their live-stock(eg:cattle,horses) that enable them to earn for their family
2.The village as a whole would probably specialize in a particular craft or trade. For instance, it could be a fisherman community, or a village of basket weavers or tea planters.
3.The entire village may share a common religious belief and have a common ishta deivata(deity) and may organize festivals from time to time
4.The pace of life is a lot peaceful in contrast to the fast paced city life, there is a sense of bliss in every direction
5.The layout of individual settlements is very sparsely located, with each family owning acre's of farm land
6.They have a strong inter-linked community where each and every other villager is an extended family member of sorts probably due to the prevalence of marrying within the community.
6.They have a strong sense of culture and tradition in their everyday activities.

In some villages there are elementary schools too. You will see people working early in the morning. There are many wells which we don't find in city.
