- Our reading sessions were great. Our parents are really happy with the improvement in the reading level of students.
- Creating an engaging mini-lesson for next week which would kindle their imagination and creativity.

8th May 2020
- It was an action packed week. Our activity on building a masterpiece was very engaging and it did kindle their imagination. It hasn't happened so far that all the kids were so quiet while building. We both were amazed!
- We possibly helped Sana(Farzaan's mum) with ways to deal with the changes in Farzaan's behaviour with the help of Isabelle.
Goal: I am looking forward to the virtual field trip this week and the other mini project-Spin-a-noun.
17-05-2020
- Our creativity celebration with lemonade was so much fun. Many of the kids made lemonade for their family later.
- Our virtual trip to the Glacier national park was the highlight of this week.
- Having a good conversation with parents in the PTM.

-Got appreciated by all the parents.
- The distance learning program worked well for many of our students(feedback from parents)

- All student-led activities went really well. This was done with a greater emphasis of providing more deliberate autonomy for our students, thus developing leadership.
- Our PJ party was a blast. We watched our favorite movie with popcorn and drinks. We played many games.
- Our POP celebration was also a hit! Yay! I feel so accomplished at the end of this week.
- Goal: Looking forward to an interesting POI review session.

Grade 1 performed mass drill with props (spoons).
Other grades' students played target hitting games. They used light weight objects(empty water bottles, tooth paste boxes etc.,) as targets & hit them with paper balls.
The PE classes this week were very exciting & fun filled for the students as some of their siblings have also joined in the fun activities.

The Digital Entrepreneurship Day was a grand success because it gave students the opportunity to display all the ATL skills and many learner profile attributes.I have learned how to use google form for collecting data and using the same for class reflection/ designing further learning engagements.

🌟 The zoom games were a superhit this week.
I had a party with my kids at 2.00 clock today, because I have to keep my windodw open so i called them too (wicked me). We played dumb charades and children came dressed in smart partywear clothes. They had fun.
🌟I made audiobooks which my kids found very interesting and they are demanding more.

* The farm shop activity for learners came out well as they were engaged in creating advertising posters, price-list as well as enacting creative roles of shopkeepers.

*We did integrate music to audible stories. Learners were instructed to first follow the audible story and then think creatively to produce different sounds. They came up with their kitchen items to cardboard etc etc. It was so engaging!

* My goal for the next week will be stressing on language and numeracy concepts.
I would love to continue with audible books with adding up to comprehension. Screencastify would also be added to the do- list.
Last but not the least, every Friday, I would encourage my learners to come up with one mini-project.

22 May 2020· Peer assessments of presentation was very effective using google docs.
· Tenqq sessions was effective and students enjoyed doing it after a long time.
· Interactions during the PTM have been really smooth. Students were given positive affirmations and discussions were more related to recent report sent with parents.
Goal: To have a closing to learning with recap and getting students ready for a vacation.

Reflecting back, I am glad I learnt to use Camscan and then combined Screencastify and Youtube to adapt a reading of Peace at Last for particular purposes with grade 1. It was a mega battle because of a poor internet connection.
I need to collaborate more and I need the students to collaborate more.

Students made puppets themselves in a creative way and presented a story as per the task given.

Students converted a story into a poem or song and presented it with nice rhythm.

Students got an opportunity to play the role of reporter and interviewed their grandparents/parents about Hindi poetry or their mother tongue poetry.

My goal for next week is to communicate with the parents on PTM and talk about their child.

22 May
Grade 5 students have created posters on "Peace", They have actively participated in debate.
Grade 3 students converted a story to a song.A student made a Hindi quiz on Kahoot .

29 May
Students were asked to describe the experience of Distance programme. POP session has gone amazing and I would carry the experience of pop in my teaching career forever.

Goal
My goal during vacations is to take Hindi lessons weekly twice for the Students who acquire extra support for learning.

*Thanks to Screencastify for allowing me to experiment with my voice modulation .Stories, videos and virtual trips were well delivered keeping learning outcomes in focus!

*Learners did enact roles of wardrobe stylists and came up with their clothing boutique to reflect on the concepts of addition and subtraction. They were confident to design their advertising posters and price lists and showcased enthusiasm throughout the process of learning.

*We had an engineering activity-Bridge Building
Learners were encouraged to plan, design and create bridges focusing on a purpose/goal for the assigned activity.They came up with their problem solving strategies by following the research questions. They amazed us with their creative and innovative minds.

*My goal for the upcoming week would be following the language and numeracy concepts incorporating playful activities. Focus will be more on creating unforgettable moments by spending quality fun time with everyone. was such a hoot!
I learnt from them about replaying and comparing results but mostly was reminded what fun I have myself when the students are having fun. I need to add this to my own personal playful learning indicators - even if the fun is in observing rather than joining in.
Goal:
I am using "cookie cutters" too much so my goal this week is to try to free up some activities so students have more agency.

The month went by in a jiffy!

Since it is the time of the year which has to do a lot with reflections from the parents and students, I enjoyed reading the reflections to learn from them.

It gave me a chance to know more about myself as a leader of the pack. Mostly all good.

GOAL for next year: In these reflections, I came to know that sometimes as Grade two teachers we assume a lot. 'The students have learned how to use seesaw, and one lesson with Ms. Mita for the new ones is enough'. Some kids who were scared of technology always chose written or spoken task. I assumed that they do not like gadgets and working on the iPad. In fact, I should have given them more chances to work on iPad to break the fear and give them more practice. Because these children showed such good responses in the DLP which was totally dependant on gadgets. Next year I will not make this mistake.

Finally, I am extremely thankful to the parents for supporting me in everything I wanted to do. They facilitated student collaboration after school time by creating Zoom links, whatsapp call etc. In this way 'WE' sustained the spirit of collaboration even in lock down.!
