• There's a lot of terms to remember from the topics provided which can be quite overloading for me at times.

1. Gained a deeper and more comprehensive understanding on the applied social sciences; most especially with the art and science of counseling, my knowledge prior was very vague and abstract and the discussions helped me form a more tangible understanding of the field.

2. I had a lot of fun working on our performance tasks! Especially the one which required us to film a podcast.

3. Lastly, Ms. Tayo's discussions and teaching methods greatly aided in the success of this course. So, thank you Miss!

1. DIASS was a memorable subject and the materials provided were comprehensive which served as a good resource for studying.

2. Tests allowed us to apply our learnings instead of just memorizing them, especially in the essays and situational analyses.

3. The activities were varied and allowed all students to engage with the subject, especially with the group tasks and the daily tributes.

1. Although I understand that the time constraints were uncontrolled, the course could have been distributed evenly to allow us to explore more on each discipline

1. I believe the reflections don't need 5 sentences each question QwQ But if 5 sentences are needed, there should be an allotted 10 minutes for it

2. I think there's too much memorization? Like I get the lessons but there's so much to memorize and most of them don't even come up in the exams :((

3. I wish we had more hands-on experience. The only one I remember is that Zoom meeting with a social worker and I couldn't really listen well since online meetings just don't hold my attention very well huhu

1. I gained a deeper understanding of the topics in the course, as my prior knowledge to all of it was just surface-level.

2. Ms. has a cute and approachable personality, making the lessons more engaging and entertaining in addition to being full of knowledge.

• Social work and counseling have always been concepts of the social science that have been close to my heart as a person who does social involvement and who is potentially taking psychology as a future career. This subject definitely strengthened the idea I had of the concepts, not only that, the most important thing it gave me was a reminder that at the heart of all this is passion, service, and a willingness to help others and be a person for others, like a true hearter.

• The pacing of the lessons could be better planned as there were some lessons that were very rushed or crammed, it may be hard for both the teacher;to teach and explain so much in one meeting, and the students;taking in a lot of information and having to understand and master it close to assessment dates. However, I think the multiple schedule interruptions played a part in this, overall the school year and this subject was very memorable and I’ll be taking the lessons I learned in this even after I graduate.

1. The subject is very informative and fun, it reminds me of how fun it was to learn DISS back in Grade 11 (despite how hard it is)

2. Addition to the first point, DIASS has informed me about counseling and that anyone can seek it. (A bit sentimental but when I read the notes on counseling, I felt informed as a future client and I don’t have to be afraid to seek help)

3. The discussions despite them being boring were so much fun to learn 😭 like the techniques of counseling were the ones I ENJOYED in the subject

Improvement

1. THIS SUBJECT NEEDS MORE TIME TO COOK (LET MISS COOK, ATENEO 🗣🗣🗣) as there are more disciplines to focus on

2. Maybe have more hands-on activities? Like how we did with Dream Analysis
