Late 1600s CE - The Assiniboine Immigrate from Canada to Montana

This is around the date that the Assiniboine immigrated from Canada to Montana. While it is unknown the exact reason behind them immigrating, it definitely went along the lines of seeking a better life, just not how it is thought of today. It is most likely that they moved for more abundance in food and resources. This is very likely because we know that once they immigrated from Canada to Montana, they where met with a teeming amount of animals which can be used for many things. They can use the meat for food, the skin for clothing and more. Often when people think about the United States being built of immigrants, they think of people immigrating from Europe to North America. However, before that Native Americans have been immigrating within North America. This is ultimately another example of immigration in North America before the United Sates.
1492 CE - Christopher Columbus "discovers" North America.

Christopher Columbus set out on a voyage in an attempt to find new water routes to Asia. However, he ended up finding and "discovering" North America. For everyone in Europe North America was new, however he did not really discover North America because there had been Native Americans who have been living there for thousands of years. However, this is a significant point because this marked the beginning of centuries of exploration and colonization in North America. Not only that, but this would all lead to a lot of people fromEurope immigrating to North America. This relate to my thematic statement, because this event paved the way for centuries of immigration. This event is drawing closer to the beginning of the United States. The people that would follow Columbus in traveling to North America would be some of the families living in North America during the start of the United States. Most of the immigrants that built the United States followed Columbus. Frankly, they would have never came to the United States if it was not for Columbus. This is an extremely significant event that sparked the immigration of the people that built the United States. Lastly, this is an example of immigration before the United States, but it is an event that sparked the immigration of people to the United States.
1786 CE - The Kwakwaka’wakw was formed (and how they traveled and migrated)

1786 marks the year that the Kwakwaka’wakw was formed. The Kwakwaka’wakw's where a group of Native Americans who lived along the coast of what is now known as British Columbia. They are an important example because they are an example of immigration evolving. The Kwakwaka’wakw migrated seasonly to the locations that they knew would have the most food and where would be the place most suitable for living. This is more of human migration and less of immigration. However, this migration ultimately ended up turning into immigration. This is an example of the beginnings of immigration before the United States. This is because eventually people stopped migrating and settled down in places. So during that time the form of migration would be immigration. In conclusion, this is an event that shows the beginning of more immigration in the United States. (The Kwakwaka'wakw.
179000 BCE - The first people are believed to have immigrated to North America

It is now believed that the first people who came to North America first immigrated from Asia around 20,000 years ago. It is impossible to say how exactly their methods of traveling from Asia to North America where. However, there is evidence showing humans in North America dating to around 20,000 years ago. Which is why historians believe that this is the case. As of now the most accurate prediction that historians can come up with is that humans immigrated from Asia to North America by crossing a territory the stretched between Asia and North America. However, that land was submerged by the Pacific Ocean. This is the earliest example of immigration. Eventually, a large portion of North America turned into the United States. The U.S. is a country built of immigrants. However, this is an example of immigration happening in North America long before the United Sates. Even the native people immigrated from Asia to North America. (Fen Montaigne)

Mid-17th Century - The African Slave Trade was Founded

The mid-17th century was the time when the African slave trade was established. But first, we need some context to how and why it was established. Simply put, the British colonies needed a bigger labour-force to work in the plantations. They would farm crop such as rice, coffee and sugar. The British decided to enslave African people for a variety of economic and social reasons. First off, they had a lot of experience farming. Second, the bible said that no one should enslave a christian, so they had to find a place with no christians. Lastly, they would be able to "readily supply" large amounts of enslaved African people. The African Slave Trade fits well into my area of focus of immigration, however there is a slight twist. Essentially, the enslaved African people where permanently moving locations from Africa to the British Colonies. All of that is a form of immigration. However, what makes this event unique is that the enslaved African people did not immigrate by choice, they where forced to. This is a brutal and horrible form of immigration.
