One thing that went pretty well in the class was making sure that I turned in my assignments on time and made sure that I complete them. However, one things that I feel that needs work on is for me to ask more questions regarding things that I don't understand and get. I feel like sometimes I struggle with asking for help on assignments or understanding the lessons. I will be looking forward to practicing more on doing that for my other classes but in general I would say that I learn a lot of important strategies that can help me when I become a teacher.

Side Note: I would like to thank Professor Morales in general for being such a great professor and provide us these important strategies that will help each and every one of us to prepare us on what will be expected when going into the teaching field. I realized that it maybe hard and that okay but I feel as if she taught us to know that its possible. I realized not only is she is our professor but she is also a teacher to children. Which shows and tells us that anything is possible. Thank you for all that you do Professor Morales!

The rosebud for me was turning in my assignments and scoring well in them. I can say I turned in my assignments on time and scored high grades.
The thorn for me is retaining information. I always forget what I just read, I forget directions and learning materials. For example, I had to refer back to the CSTP standards multiple times throughout the semester but maybe everyone did?

In this class the modules were in order and being able to open the module for the week and having a few information on what it was going to be that week helped a lot. It helped be more organized and know what assignments to do in that module and not have to look for the assignments to do. It helped me work on my assignments that same day. A thorn for me is not reading throughly the chapters like I should be and getting more information but I tend to make more time for my reading.

Something that went really well is I learned so much more about teaching and what comes with being a teacher. Another rosebud was being able to turn in my assignments on time and never feeling worried that I wouldn't get it done in time. The thorn for me was not always reading all the way through a chapter, I would either stop reading or start to skim once I felt that I got the answers that I needed.

One thing that went well for me was emailing the professor when I did not understand an assignment and needed help. I usually tend to not ask for help. However, one thing I need to continue to work on is my reading. Its hard for me to capture what I've read without taking notes if not I have to reread the same paragraph a thousand times in order to understand it.

My thorn in this class was motivation to finish the work on time. While learning online it is very easy to let due dates slip away from you or just shy away form them. One thing that I did see as a rosebud was that all the work I did turn in scored really well and proved to me that I am capable of great work!

What went really well in this class for me this semester was really getting to learn all the real-life situations, problems, and solutions in class. I didn't really think there would be much guidance as to "how to be a teacher" type of classes in an undergrad college class, but I was wrong! I got to learn so much, and I'm glad it was with you, professor! The thorn though, would be the fact that I'm still behind in classwork, will have to still work on that, but everything has been great, and with all the help and guidance I received from you was amazing. One thing I really enjoyed about this class was all the real life teaching experince we had with the field work and all the modules. This helped me feel more prepared for when I become a teacher. The THORN may be for me to focus on how to learn to not take so much time when doing assignments. The ROSEBUD about taking this course for me has been having an awesome teacher that has done an spectacular job within giving me assignments to gain knowledge of what I will be face with and strategies that I can use to be prepared when I become a teacher. Thank you for selecting the textbook that we used for the class, I really enjoyed reading it, maybe because is not a typical long pages filled with only words. It really captured my attention and I was not bored when reading its very important content. Looking at the pictures and reading the teachers and students scenarios was pretty fun too. THANK YOU!!! One thing I did well in this class is making sure I turned in all my assignments on time and making sure they were completed and thoughtfully made. I also think I did good on reading each chapter and making the reading logs thought out. Something I need to work on more is to ask more questions when I need help or don't understand something. Another thing is to spread out my assignments and not do them all one day before they are due. Overall, I am glad that I took this class. Changing my major, and finally picking my career has put a kickstart on my education path. This class has only encouraged and made me more excited to become a teach. I would say my rose bud this semester was putting in the effort to really learn the material and not just get assignments done. I honestly enjoyed learning all about teaching and was able to understand so many things I didn’t know before about being a teacher. My thorn this semester would be doing the discussions on time. I was confused in the beginning and thought the discussions where due at the same time as other work, but re-read instructions to realize they were due on Wednesdays. Once I got that down, I think the rest of the semester went by pretty smoothly.

I think the rosebud in this course for me was the fact that it really helped me realize that this is a career path I want to set my heart on. I had spent a lot of time after graduating high school without a real aim or purpose, but on a whim I decided to try to pursue education as a career and this course has definitely showed me that I am very happy following this path. I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to learn many things about the career as well as many things that I have actually been lucky enough to apply in my own work in Titans ASES. I had no real clue on how to manage a classroom or come up with activities or plans to do with students before this class, but now I feel confident in my ability to work in a classroom setting. I think that the thorn from this semester was unfortunately the fact our fieldwork hours could not be conducted in person. I feel like I definitely would have been able to learn a lot from a mentor teacher in person as well as have an even stronger idea of the kind of classroom environment I want to create in my future.

With everything said, I want to really thank Professor Morales for being a kind and understanding professor especially during the times where I had a lot going on in my personal life regarding family. Even if we may have never met in person, I am truly grateful that I had your class and that you helped me realize what I want to set my heart on by giving me a glimpse of what it may really be like to teach my own class one day.

I believe that one thing that went well for me (or a rosebud) in this course was being able to go through each of the modules and complete all of the assignments. I found the modules to be very informative and also helpful since they each provided more insight and also more of an in depth look into the career of Elementary School teaching. I was able to learn so much through the modules, which I know is going to be nothing but a benefit for me, as I go further into my path of becoming a teacher.
Along with this, I think that something that I need to focus on (or a thorn) would have to be knowing that it is okay to reach out for help from the Professor. I always felt too nervous or anxious in emailing a Professor or messaging them through the Canvas inbox. There were definitely moments in this course where I should and also could have asked Professor Morales for help or any other variation of additional assistance. I now understand the importance of being able to ask for help on assignments and more, which is something that I will and know to continue to work on and strengthen, in time.

One thing out of many that went well was that I learned a lot of material in this course that will help me in the future. I loved that this class was not super fast paced and also was not slow either. The thorn would have to be that I really wished we were able to do this class in person which I feel took a lot away from the hands on activities we would have done. I am more of a visual and hands on person when it comes to learning so it was a bit more discouraging but other than that I loved this class.

My rosebud was the fact that I learned so many new things. I was consistent with my classwork and readings, I didn't just skim the lectures and it paid off, because now I feel much more prepared for my future as a teacher. My only thorn was that I waited to do my work until the weekend. I crammed it all the night before it's due date and though I was able to finish, I stressed myself out.

One thing that went well for me was being able to understand the subject matters at hand. Not only was the material easy to understand, but it also paved a clear pathway of what being an elementary school teacher is like, which was something I really appreciate about this class. One thing that went well for me was learning more about Common Core State Standards. In school I never understood or wanted to go more in depth but I am glad I know now the importance of it. I really love that we learned more about knowing the background of students and not to judge kids so fast due to socioeconomic. I like that we got more into knowing what socioeconomic meant because I had no idea what it was before this course.

One thing that went well for me in this course was learning about the teachers perspective. I have had the perspective of a student but it really went into depth and showed me what I need to know for the future. This was the first class that I decided to take after changing my major to teaching. This class has taught me a lot about becoming a teacher. It has also made me respect teachers much more than I did, because they work harder than you think. One thing that went well was getting a better understanding of the process/ journey that I will be on to become a teacher. And got a different perspective on how to teach elem. students and to engage them. One thing that I think I need to focus on is to make sure I improve my time management skills, so I don't end up trying to rush to finish things. This course has gone really well for me. I have learned a lot of helpful tips when it comes to being a new teacher, and just teaching in general. My rosebud would be that while reading up on the course material I found it all interesting and for the first time in a while I enjoyed learning and didn't feel like I was taking a class because I had to take it. It was very refreshing especially because I had not felt that way in my previous major. My thorn would be that I tend to have my priorities all mixed up, and it has caused me to procrastinate on my homework a lot because I take care of my siblings and help out my family before anything else, so I will be working on that in the future. Given that this class was projected online, the class for me was really fun. I learned a lot about what teachers go through and what to keep in mind when sculpting a younger and diverse generation. I love this course because I learned a lot about myself and despite going through a few losses from the pandemic, taking this course helped me maintain focus and motivation. I will never forget this semester and I will continue to grow from here on out. Thank you professor for being understanding and extremely helpful especially in hard times. One thing that went well in the course was the understanding of the entire class as a whole. I was able to easily understand what I had to read and it got me extremely motivated for what is to come when I become a teacher. This class overall was very impactful on my career goal. One thing that I could have focused on was trying not to procrastinate. Because of covid, and schooling being completely online, it is very hard for me to keep track of this class especially as I am not one to always be on my phone. I've loved taking this class! Although I knew I wanted to become a teacher, I wasn't very sure where I was going to start. Alongside the assigned text and Professor Morales' instruction, I have a better understanding of the teaching profession and what it entails- I am so excited! A rosebud amongst the rosebuds is how much instruction Professor Morales gives, how much of it is clear and forward. Knowing this class is an introduction to teaching, its understandable so but with Professor Morales giving a lending hand through the comments via Canvas and constant announcements, its kept me on my toes. A thorn is definitely one of my own personal struggles aside from this class, which is procrastination. However, like mentioned, Professor Morales has a clear roadmap/checklist before and after each module so I make sure what's needed to complete that module on time. Thank you so much Professor!

One thing that went well for me in this class was being able to learn more about teaching. I feel like learning about the CSTP Standards helped me understand more about what teachers are supposed to do and what are expected to complete. I feel more comfortable going into this profession with the knowledge that I have now and I also know skills from watching other teachers during fieldwork video's, and doing a lot of module work as well as textbook work. One thing that went bad for me was trying to keep up with the work. At times it felt as if it was too much and other times it was a breeze. I feel like it has taught me to learn how to manage my time better but since I have 5 other classes to tend to as well this semester, it did get very stressful and I ended up missing a few assignments. I loved this class. The pace was very easy, and I was able to work ahead in many cases. I never felt like I was being bombarded with material. Everything I learned will stay with me through my teaching career. In regard to the rosebud, I think the communication was great. Covid really messed a whole lot of things up, and not being able to ask questions face to face became a real problem with many classes. In this class in particular, I never felt that I wasn't being hears. Communication was always prompt and precise. It's hard for me to think of a thorn. I truly did enjoy this class. I wish I was taking 105 with you too. So that can be the thorn, the fact that you're not teaching my 105 class. Boooooooooooooo!!!!!!!

I really enjoyed this class even if it was in an online format. I was able to learn a lot of new and valuable information that I will be able to put to use when the time comes. One thing that went very well for me was being able to follow with the course. I didn't have trouble with knowing what to do, and that is because the professor made it very easy to follow along. She had everything organized and nothing was all over the place. I really like the time we had to complete the assignments, having a week is very reasonable. Though I must say I slacked off a bit, but that is all on me. Which leads me to my point on what I need to focus on. Time management. Here I am working on this assignment, the day that it is due. It has always been pretty hard for me to manage my work life, personal life, and school life all together. Especially since I started working two jobs this semester so it has been difficult for me. But I feel like I somewhat have it down. I think for next semester I will take more time to do future planning that way I know what I need to spend time on and what are things that I need to be doing.

The rosebud for this class was reading the book, it gave me an idea of what it takes to be a teacher and how to go about it. I feel motivated to take more classes that will help me prepare further for a career in teaching. I also enjoyed the classroom observation videos, I felt like I have a better idea of what I grade I want to teach. I would have preferred to have taken this class in person. The first time I took this class I felt overwhelmed. I thought the workload was too much. This time around I realized that it’s not a heavy load. I realized that the work is pretty easy and to be honest it’s not stressful at all.
Professor Morales is very nice, very helpful with her students. The rose in her class are the discussions they are very interesting and opens up about the pros and cons in the teaching field. Honestly I don’t think theirs much of a thorn in her class because she cover her lecture very well and is very attentive. The only downside was out of her control and that was that a lot of student would wait until the last moment to answer discussion.

In the beginning, I was very nervous about becoming a teacher but the amazing tips throughout the semester made me feel more confident. First off I want to thank Prof Morales for always clarifying any questions and how quick she was to get back with an answer. I appreciate taking this course because it actually opened my eyes to see things from an educator perspective and how and why things are done the way they are. I thought this class would be too much work but although it is a lot of reading, writing and reflecting it is beneficial and improves the understanding one has of this profession.
One thing that I would of liked would be to take this class in person reading through the other post on how Prof Morales tells stories and I just believe it would of been a better experience to have taken this class in person. Still it was an informative and learning experience none the less, also another thing is the google sites sometimes it is easy to forget about it or not remember to do the assignments.

One thing that went well for me in this class is that I learned more than I ever thought I would about teaching and I was constantly reminded why I want to become a teacher throughout this course. One thing I'd say that I have to work on though is time management. There were times where I was surprised I got the assignment in on time because of how much I procrastinated. One more thing that well is having Professor Morales as the instructor. She was always helpful when it came to any questions I had and answered in a time manner, which I really appreciated. She also was very fair with grading and let you know if you were missing anything for any assignment and always made sure you got the grade you deserve, which again I really appreciated. I enjoyed this classroom even it was online. I was able to still go to campus and get help in the student resource. The professor was quick to respond to my emails. What helped gain more knowledge in what was going on in the class was reading the book and doing the reading log to comprehend what I learned. I like how this professor has a clear list of directions with resources available. The assignments were not too difficult to do and I still learned a lot. I'm glad I got more insight of how the teacher uses their skills to follow the standards when we had to do the field work hours. I liked how much time we had to turn in our assignments knowing we have other classes and responsibilities. I need to put more attention to my google site, if I had more reminders on when I should be keeping up with my google site then I would do it. I am proud that I put in the work in the class remotely and it was a great experience especially when the professor cares for their students.

I say that this course really opened my eyes as a college student, and as a future teacher. I knew that teachers do a lot in order to teach the next generation, but during my field hours I saw that we only see a fraction of what teachers do on a daily basis to teach the student. I would say that my challenge is that this course was online, and I struggle with assignments and turning them in. A thorn would be this. When first taking this class I was overwhelmed with just having my son in September and going through postpartum depression. This class ended up being one of my favorites due to the straight forward coursework and PowerPoints. The chapters in the book were very informative as well as the PowerPoints. One thing i just realized is the google sites, its hard to keep track of when trying to make sure assignments on the calendar are completed.

Rosebud & Thorn - Claudia Sanchez -------- EDEL 100 was highly informative for me, though I've had years of schooling I hadn't really thought about all the work, coordination, evaluation, and day-to-day of a teacher! I've learned a lot. The workload really helped me to learn the material, which may have been different if we had lectures for this class. The rosebud is definitely how instructive the course material was for me. The thorn was not having the opportunity to be in the classroom due to COVID restrictions. Though thorny as it was not getting to see a teacher, in action, navigating the day-to-day- in the classroom, the restrictions allowed me to draw inspiration and be enriched by viewing multiple educators in recorded action.

I enjoyed this class and recommended it to fellow teachers in the making. I feel that due to the online nature, it was hard to grasp the whole experience, but for what we got, it was enough. The Rosebud for the class was that we had the work slightly in advance and could see the course layout from the start. Thorn would have had to have been learning online and doing the fieldwork via videos instead of in person. One thing I know I need to work on is making sure I update my Google Site for each of the weeks. For many of them, I forgot and had to go back later to edit them.

Although we were not able to observe real-life classrooms this semester, I am grateful for the observation activity that was provided. I actually feel like I learned more from observing multiple classrooms of different grades than I would have by only observing one grade. I know that we will all have the opportunity to observe classrooms in the future, or so I hope! I also loved the assignments that had to do with assessing our bias as future educators because this is so important and it is never too early to start.
A thorn that I came across this semester is keeping up with my portfolio. I did get off to a good start but was not consistent and will be working on that this week.

I LOVED this class. I took 5 classes and this one was my favorite. Although it was strictly online I was able to learn a lot, I actually loved taking notes weekly on the knowledge we got from the book.One assignment that I loved was the classroom observation, I liked to see the different strategies that all the teachers used, I definitely got a lot of tips that I could or want to use in the future when I have my own classroom. I really liked this class because I learned so much about what it means to be a teacher and how much work they actually put teaching their class. I could clearly tell that Professor Morales cares about her students doing well in her course because she would comment reminders about assignments being turned in. For some assignments she even provided examples so that the class will know exactly how it needs to be done. Of course if there was still confusion she was always reminding students to email her if we had any questions, and when I would email her she got back to me very quickly. The rosebud for me in this course was that I did very well in the course assignments, but the thorn would be not turning a few assignments on time or at all. Overall I loved this class and I enjoyed my time learning about teachers. One small gesture that Professor Morales would do is call us future teachers, because it makes me even more excited and it shows she believes we will become a teacher so we should too.

As someone who does have experience working with children, I do have that knowledge and understanding of how children learn and behave when being instructed in a lesson. The reading logs forced us to read The Teacher's Guide to success which has a lot of helpful information about being a new teacher. I would have to say that my rosebud was that I was encouraged and guided to be a professional teacher and I am on my way. These standards really opened up my eyes to see the way the classroom setting it determine inside and outside. I enjoyed learning about how to become a good teacher and how to set routine's and the different strategies that can be used. The support system a new teacher has, the diversity in the classrooms and how to include them in the learning material. The Professor gave great instruction's and when she see you really did not understand she would leave a comment under that assignment so you could correct your mistake. The example's the Professor gave on her experience of being a teacher helped the course go smoother. She taught us that being a teacher is more than just teaching lessons, you have to learn and understand your student's. Also to include all student's the English learner's and the Special Education student's to come up with lesson plan's that can teach every student. The fieldwork activity was great watching how the teacher's interact with their student's was a nice learning experience.

At first, I thought this class was going to be difficult. Teaching can be fun and exciting, but it can also be challenging and nerve wrecking in the beginning. My rosebud this semester will have to be the opportunity to have been able to have gotten to observe how students and teachers are in the classroom throughout the day. Especially before and after Halloween, which was pretty interesting getting to see the change in attention spans with the kids. It gives you a completely different perspective and gives you that experience/ feel of how a day in the life of a teacher really is. My torn this semester would have to had been time managing my assignments. I am usually always busy during the weekends due to the fact that it is the only days I can really work and pick up extra shifts so with some assignments being due on Sunday nights made it a bit difficult for me to time manage. My rosebud for EDEL 100 was my placement with a TK teacher for my fieldwork hours. I have always enjoyed working with younger students and hope to teach TK, kinder or 1st grade in the future. The teacher I was placed with was super welcoming and friendly and I enjoyed watching the way she ran her class. She was very encouraging and even invited me to reach out to her for EDEL 200 fieldwork hours. I really appreciate the insight into teaching that I got from my fieldwork hours and from this class as a whole.

My thorn for this semester in general was difficulty in managing stress. I haven't been a full time student for close to ten years and although I made sure to have enough time on my schedule for studying, I had forgotten how overwhelming it could be to keep track of assignments and the stress impacted my ability to focus and I definitely spent more time worrying than actually getting things done. It's something I'll be working on so that I can have better stress management skills for next semester and, eventually, for being a teacher.

I was lucky to be assigned to a teacher that was a good mentor for me to work with, and was very easygoing and understanding. I was also lucky to have the student teacher who was also working in that classroom that went beyond with giving me tips on my future path as a teacher as she was working towards her own certifications. It was really nice getting to familiarize myself with the 6th grader's faces and dynamics and observe how the class structures were and how to handle lesson planning and classroom regulation. I loved observing the classroom for those observation hours.

My thorn would have to be my procrastination with the weekly assignments in this class. I let myself stumble a bit during the middle of the semester and it was harder to motivate myself into fully completing the assignments each Sunday. Starting from discussions, e-portfolios, reading logs, fieldwork experience, IRIS modules, PowerPoint presentations, and CSTP standards, until the lesson plan components, the knowledge I have gained from this class is immense. Hence, I'd like to call this a bouquet of Rosebuds, because through every assignment I have got a deeper understanding of what it is to be a teacher and how blessed we are to be in this profession. Though there are many other lucrative fields and opportunities, we have chosen this field, because children matter to us. And going through each lesson, and each CSTP standard, I got a better understanding of what a vast field teaching is, and how prepared, qualified, and hard-working we must be, to be exemplary teachers. I have worked very hard in this class and received good grades. I am very happy to say that I am a better teacher today, thanks to the knowledge and the information gained from this class. I was able to watch a fifth grade class haves and its amazing to see teachers in action in the class filling the students with so many joy and laughter and love. Learning from this experience really helped me accomplish my goals this semester it was a really amazing semester. My thorn would be that sometimes I would procrastinate in my work and I would have to work really hard and many hours to get it done and even if I didn’t know if it made sense I would turn it I should value my time more so that I have free time when I need first comes work then fun.

As everyone has said I agree that there is so much to be thankful for. This class has been a profound learning experience for me, and I am truly grateful to Professor Morales for all the knowledge I have gained from being her student. From engaging in discussions, creating e-portfolios and reading logs, to gaining fieldwork experience, completing IRIS modules, and delivering PowerPoint presentations, as well as understanding CSTP standards and lesson plan components, the knowledge I have acquired from this class is immense. Therefore, I would like to refer to it as a bouquet of Rosebuds, because through every assignment, I have gained a deeper understanding of what it takes to become a teacher and how fortunate we are to be in this profession. Although there are many other lucrative fields and opportunities, we have chosen this field because we care about children. As I progressed through each lesson and each CSTP standard, I gained a better understanding of the vastness of the teaching field and how we, as exemplary teachers, must be prepared, qualified, and hard-working. I have worked very hard in this class and received good grades. I am proud to say that I am better today and one step closer to being one of the best teachers a student can have. All thanks to the knowledge and information gained from this class. Any challenges there may have been at the beginning have been overcome, and there are no more obstacles in my bouquet of Rosebuds, and I hope there never will be.

I earned a lot of new information I did not know about in this class. I learned valuable information that is going to help me in the future. I liked the fieldwork because I was able to get an idea of how the setting of a classroom with students is. I also learned tips and ideas from my mentor teacher. I also learned from the book we read. Each lesson in this class was interesting and it was not too hard, but my thorn would be that I procrastinate a lot so sometimes I did do my work at the last minute.

My Rosebud this semester was the real-life classroom experience. It was great seeing the real life challenges we will encounter as teachers. I also enjoyed seeing the different strategies the teacher used to effectively make certain material interactive and fun for the kids. I believe the best form of learning is through play.

A thorne this semester was navigating the online sites. I am still learning google sites and the other google products so sometimes I was confused on how to attach certain projects. Online learning can be difficult because you feel like you are on your own. However, I appreciated how helpful and attentive to our needs our Professor was. It was an overall great class.

The rose for this class was how amazing Professor made this class for us. Whenever I had a question( I had many) she would always take the time to give us a response. I always looked forward to coming to class because I learned so much and I was able to apply it all during my fieldwork hours. I loved the classmates that I had; they were another reason why this class was amazing. It is important as a teacher to make the students feel heard, and Professor Morales did just that.

A thorn for this class would be that I feel like we didn’t have that much time for the class. The class is only 1 hour and I would love it if there was an option for a longer version for this class. This class truly helped me and I’m so excited to apply everything I learned. I feel that if the class was longer we would be able to gain more knowledge. My rose for this class was the professor's passion and kindness. She was consistently inspiring and enthusiastic in every lesson. I appreciated how she genuinely cared for her students and their well-being throughout the course. I also loved how organized the classwork was. I am grateful to have had Professor Morales as my instructor; she taught me many valuable tips for becoming a teacher.

The thorn for this class was that we only met once a week, and assignments were locked until the day we met. I wish we could have met more frequently. This class was very motivating, and I looked forward to it every week. Overall, it was one of my favorite classes.

Rosebud for this class was the passion that was clear from the beginning when Professor Morales talked about her journey in the field of education. Her love for teaching makes me excited for what my future holds and the lives I will be able to impact.

If there was a thorn, it would likely be the small amount of time that we had to grasp all that was presented. I felt that I needed more time to learn all there is to learn, although really learning never ends! But I would have loved to have more in-depth information on some of the topics discussed such as lesson planning and teaching SPED.

Regardless, it was not time wasted so I do suggest anyone who can take this course with Professor Morales- do it! :)

My rosebud was no doubt doing my observation hours in a SPED class at Lewis Elementary. That was the highlight of my whole semester!! It was really hard just to be the observer in the class and not interact with the students.

My thorn was the reading. Not that I don't like to read but that my other courses involved reading as well. Working full-time and babysitting my grandson in the evenings made it difficult for me to stay on top of the reading. Thorn#2 was citing my PowerPoint project. I definitely need to take a course in citing. This part of my project was frustrating.

My Rosebud for this semester and this class was getting to read out text book and having to imagine what I would do as a teacher with all that information. It got me excited to start thinking about my classroom setup, structure, and rules. How important it is to organize and plan your lectures. The CSTP standards really had me thinking of what kind of teacher I am going to be. this class overall just brought joy and excitement and cannot wait until I have my classroom. The Torn in this class was me not providing more time to provide better answers on my classwork. I kept in mind that they were due Sunday and at times caught myself doing my assignments until then.

I learnt a lot from it and I took a whole lot of notes for sure. The book is valuable and something you can keep forever. Some of the tips on there are timeless. Now, my thorn would be that I would have wanted to be in this class a little bit longer. I felt like it went by too quick.

A rosebud for this class was being able to learn so much about teaching through the class textbook and the assignments we had to complete that helped us gain a greater understanding of it. I enjoyed the class and the ability to understand everything thoroughly. I enjoyed completing my observation hours and getting to connect it with the California Teaching Standards. It helped me, as an aspiring future teacher get to know what each standard looks like and how to incorporate it in my classroom.

My thorn that I need to focus more on is my sleep schedule. My sleep schedule has been a bit crazy this semester because of my workload. I've had a good grasp of my time management so far, but my sleep schedule has been suffering as a result. I hope that over the break, I get a chance to improve on it.

A rosebud for me during the course of this class would be visiting my assigned 3rd grade class for my Fieldwork. Being in the classroom in person and being able to shadow an amazing educator like my mentor solidified my desire to become an educator. I became optimistic for my future in someday teaching my old classroom and fueled my desire to work even harder to reach my dreams.

A thorn in this classroom would be managing the work along with the other classes I took this semester. This course was the only one I took with a lot of time, my other 2 courses were 9 week courses so they moved at a much faster pace. Being a single mom and working full time while taking 10 units has been challenging to say the least, but I'm almost at the finish line and I can't wait to continue on this path and see it through to the end.

A rosebud or a peak for me this class was doing the assigned textbook reading. Although sometimes I would procrastinate and leave the reading to the last minute, it was overall an easy read. Not only was it an easy read, but the book was super informative and insightful! It is definitely a tool I can use once I become a teacher in case I need any tips or strategies on how to approach something. I think it is a super useful book for any student going into the teaching profession. On the other hand, a thorn or valley for me that I think I needed work on was finding more examples of the teaching standards. Although I saw good examples during my observation hours, I wish I would've been able to observe more days so that o would've been able to see more of the teaching standards put into practice.

My rosebud this semester in EDEL 100 would be the observation hours I did at Roosevelt Elementary School. I had a 4th-grade class, and it was really a good experience, seeing the classroom in its relaxed but sometimes chaotic everyday environment. The kids were really sweet when I was observing them and my mentor was great and answered any questions I had about what she did throughout the day.

My thorn for this semester was getting really bad procrastination in some classes, including this class. As well as waiting kind of last minute for some of the earlier reading units.

My thorn is my poor habit of leaving work to the last minute. I get it done but typically minutes before it’s due and I’d like to get rid of that habit. What is being taught and shown in class is demonstrated to the best of the ability, which is easy to grasp and understand. My rosebud for EDEL 100 is that this class in an introduction to teaching. If have never dealt with students this class is a great start. You'll get to observe a classroom and see how a classroom setting works. It may get tough at times taking this class if you aren't to confident with social skills, but always practice. This class will help you set the foundations of becoming a great teacher. As well help make a great portfolio. I enjoyed this class, and make sure you take time for this class so you can observe as much material as possible.

One thing that went well (a rosebud) for me this semester was my experience with the teacher whose class I observed for my fieldwork hours. I really appreciate Carina Lopez and her accepting me into her classroom with open arms. She had warned me that her class this year was a bit difficult, but watching how she molded her class and handled different situations taught me so much about teaching. One thing that I felt I needed to focus on (a thorn) this semester was our weekly reading. I regret not getting the book as early as I could in the semester, it was difficult to go to the library to check it out and be able to write my reflections properly. I managed and did the early reflections this way; I eventually got a good thrifted copy online, which I am happy about. It is a really good resource for first time teachers and I enjoyed learning from my reading. Overall I really enjoyed the class, it was definitely a good amount of work but it taught me responsibility and I really enjoyed our textbook.

My Rosebud would be managing to complete this course. With all I have on my plate I didn't think I would be able to handle all the assignments. I started this course in the spring but dropped the course a few weeks in. So completing it this fall semester is an accomplishment for me. I really enjoyed doing the field hours. I learned a lot from observing my teacher mentor. It made me excited for what my future as an educator can hold.

My thorn would be my time management. I have to teach myself to be more organized with my time.

I think one thing that I did well this semester was my fieldwork hours. I believe this also had a lot to do with the fact that I enjoyed what i was doing and had a lot to say about it. When i first saw the assignments i was worried about how many pages we needed but soon realized that because I enjoyed what I did the length of pages was very easy to achieve. Something I struggles with at first was the reading logs , this is because i did not make it a priority to get the needed book for the class.
