an arrangement of shapes closely fitted together, especially of polygons in a repeated pattern without gaps or overlapping.

 created this piece by cropping the actual photo and making it smaller. once i cropped the photo, i made various duplicates of the photo. i would flip the duplicates so the would mirror the other photos with each other. once i was done flipping the cropped photos they looked like they were merged. 
my favorite tessellation would be the grass one. i like the grass one because it look really weird and it's better than all of the other ones i did. i struggled with finding something that would look good in a tessellation. if i had to do it again, i would take pictures of more colorful things.
