         <description><![CDATA[<div>Southern and Northern states had a dispute between whether slaves should be counted for population or for taxes purposes. In the end they came up with the 3/5 compromise so if you had 5 slaves only 3 of them would count towards the poulation/taxes.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The northern and southern states both had diffrent reasons to have slaves the North wanted to have to goverment regulate trade with slaves they didnt need many slaves because they were more industrial . But the southern states needed the slaves because they were more agricultural (lots of farming) and they were worried that the goverment regulating trade would ruin them having slaves so they compromised by combeing what they both wanted</div>]]></description>
