These dates indicate to the consumer (people who buy products) when their food should be eaten by. Implicit in that is that once that date has passed, the food should be discarded. However, food often lasts much longer than the sell or consume by date, which means that sometimes perfectly good food is thrown away. <br><br><mark>TASKS:&nbsp;<br></mark><br></div><div><strong>Step 1: </strong>In the left hand column, write down all the food you can remember eating yesterday.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><strong>Step 2:</strong> visit <a href="http://www.eatbydate.com/">eatbydate.com </a><br><br></div><div><strong>Step 3: </strong>using the tabs at the top labelled ‘fruits’ ‘drinks’ ‘dairy’ etc, find out how long each food will last cooked, uncooked, or both! <br><br><strong>Step 4: </strong>scroll down beneath each food.
