I used sci-fi conventions by making the movie about aliens, as well as making the image on the poster of a blue, exotic looking forest. I used horror movie conventions by having an ominous and dark lit forest with a shadowy figure in it. I also put blood on the poster to represent murder. I used a sci-fi director and sci-fi and horror movie actors to display the genres further.

This leads to a dramatic story of unknowns and uncertainty around every corner, leaving the viewer in a constant state of shock and confusion. The genres I chose for my movie are horror and drama. The horror elements are shown through the dark scenery in the background along with the pouring rain which is a common setting for horror films. Along with that, I added a blood splatter to the front of the poster to make it obvious that it is horror related while keeping the rose petals in the background for a drama-esque look. The Sci-fi conventions I used include factors such as: futuristic, unrealistic, and advanced technology, through the fact that it's a robot taking control of humans. 
The unusual narrator conventions are found  in the fact that the story is told throught the perspective of the robot, which is obviously an untrustworthy source. 
The movie poster shows the sci-fi side through the picture used, the colours, and fonts. The unusual narrator side is shown through the figure on the poster. I also used a director and actors who would usually act in movies of these genres.

Johnston had lost is pet Hamster in a house fire, which had led him down a path of smoking and eventually killing. After the loss of Johnstons self control he became more and more helpless and forgetful, in the way he could barely walk or think because of how stoned he constantly was. Johnston quickly became known as the guy that would quickly turn from friend to enemy as he might pull a glock on ya. Johnstons story is full of trips, falls and bloodshot eyes that could be mistaken for 3 days of no sleep.
