Pick one note (depending on the track you use) and improv using only that one over a background track. Alternatively, just pick any note and improv using only a metronome. Not in the site, learned from lesson. The site has several simple rhythmic ideas for beginners to try out and then expand from. It’s important that we give our students a starting point, otherwise they won’t have any idea what to do. The site has a well-defined step-by-step process for students to use their musical background and knowledge to transfer to jazz improv, transcription, theory, and analysis. I personally need the first site above, but this one would work for many others.
