During this time, I also was working towards my undergraduate degree. I had to pay my way through college and housing, so it took me a little longer than others to graduate from college. My experience at the credit union was my first professional job and taught me many skills that I utilize as an educator.  I graduated from Texas State University in 2019 with my Bachelor's in English and a minor in Secondary Education. 

I applied to be a teacher in Leander ISD and was hired as a 7th/8th grade ELA teacher at Henry Middle School where I've spent the last 4 years.
