It also includes the Vice President, The Cabinet, Executive departments, independent agencies, and other board, commissions, and committees.</div><ul><li> Being able to veto a proposal for a law. </li><li>Negotiate foreign treaties with other countries. </li><li>Grant pardons for a crime.</li><li>Appoint federal posts(such as members of government agencies).</li><li>Appoint federal judges.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Constitution divided the Government into three branches: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. <strong>Checks and balances</strong> give specific powers to each branch. It was to make sure <em>no branch would be able to control too much power, and it created a separation of powers.&nbsp;</em></div><ul><li><em>&nbsp;Executive Branch</em> has the power to check the legislative branch by vetoing laws that congress wants to pass.</li><li><em>Legislative Branch </em>may check the executive branch by passing laws over the veto by 2/3 in each house.</li><li><em>Judicial Branch</em> may check both the legislative and executive branch by declaring laws unconstitutional. </li></ul>]]></description>

         <title>Amendments</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><strong>&nbsp;1st Amendment</strong> gave us the Freedom of Religion, Speech, Press, Assembly, and Petition. With this amendment we have the right to speak freely, we are able to express how we feel about certain things. We use this amendment every single day.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>4th Amendment</strong> - The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. The 4th Amendment is important for modern society because it entities you to privacy so if no warrants was issued it shall not be violated. Many people have this right violated and that is why I think it's an important amendment that we should not forget.&nbsp;</li><li>The Amendments are under the Bill of Rights, well the first 10 are.&nbsp;</li><li>The Amendment process is under Article IV. </li></ul>]]></description>
