If people cannot communicate or understand each other it would be impossible to apprend another reality. - It's similar because if you can't speak the same language as someone the world is limited and your mind starts tricking you into something different. It would make up a special reality, just like the people in the video. by Tad and Anna

“The limits of my language are the limits of my world.” The
video shows how language is an important factor of gaining knowledge,
especially of one’s surrounding. In the video when the one prisoner got
released and came back to his friends to explain what he had seen, language was
restraining from knowledge being shared. The prisoners have spent their whole
life looking at the same wall, so their language and understanding of the world
has been limited. However the question that needs to be asked is what defines “my
world.” When the prisoners see the shadows, their imagination is limitless and
it allows them imagine what that shadow is. However without language they aren’t
able to express themselves, which limits them to this world.
Diego and Felicia

The quote "The limits of my language are the limits of my world" is similar to the story in the Plato's Cave. The prisoners that stare at the wall for their whole life are limited in their language, because they have never communicated with anyone and have only seen the world through the shadows. For them this is the real world. When the free prisoner wants to report the other prisoners about his adventure, they are not able to understand what he says, because he has gained all that new knowledge, which they do not have. All of this suggests that we know something through the world that we live and people around us. For example we humans still have a lot to discover in the universe, but at the moment we live in a limited world, even though we don't think we do.

The limits of my language are the limits of my world. This Sentence has some similarities to the meaning of Platos Cave as in that people made to look at only at the wall and shadows and listen to echos. Their perception of the world can only be in this form they never knew anything else and probably not know anymore than this, but this doesn't mean they have no way of communicating /language. Though for the one who is freed afterwards he sees a whole lot more of the world than the other ones back in the cave and so he would have trouble communicating since he knows no language of the outside world and so his world is limited since he can not communicate and interact with people to attain more knowledge of the wonders he has discovered and as to what they are. or the knowledge and world of the people in cave are limited and as they don't know the language spoken by the people whos shadows cross the wall, so they can not expand their spectrum of the world.

"the limits of language are the limits of words". this quote can be described as similar to the story in the plato's cave. The reason for that is that the prisoners have wasted their whole life staring at a wall. this can be connected with the quote because as someone who has never seen anything but a wall. language will not evolve if the same words are continuously used. So for example when the prisoner leaves the cave and tries to explain to the others what he saw. since the other prisoners have only experienced the wall of the cave they don't understand because. So as a conclusion it can be said that language can be limited by words.

"The limits of my language are the limits of my world"

This is similar to the video of Plato's cave because the prisoners were kept in the cave for most of their lives which limits their language because their surroundings are limited. Therefore it could be said that due to the fact that the prisoners surroundings are limited, also their language is limited.

The quote "The limits of my language are the limits of my world" is similar to pluto's cave due to the fact that the prisoner's were being "held" in caves for most of theirs lives, so what they where tought (spelling check) was what they new thus saying "The limits of my language are the limit of my world" because what they were taught is what they know were very limited and did not have a "wide" education.
