• What do they think about gender inequality and domestic violence?
Sadly, this is something that has been happening for many years and nowadays is way smaller than it was years ago but we, as a society, still need to work on it.

• Do these two issues are all that true for our society, for our home?
It is not as strong as it used to be but it´s still happening. In our house we are totally against it and we try do divide house chores equally.

• Is there anything you as a son/daughter can do to ase the burden or reduce the mental load?
I try to help my mom and my grandma the more I can, but during school days, I don´t have much time left, so I help them the must during weekends.
• What did you learn from what you talked to with your parents?
I learnt that things have changed and it´s a lot better now, but there are still many changes to do.

• Write 5 actions to prevent gender inequality: 1. Divide house work equally.
2. Educate future generation to live in an equal society.
3. Teach little children the right way we should interact.
4. Avoid sexist behavior. 5. Delete sexist comments towards women.

I Do not support gender violence, have a good communication

Promote gender equity and domestic violence through social networks by making pages, advertisements, post, so people can be well informed.

• Do these two issues are all that true for our society, for our home?

Gender inequality is unfortunately a common thing in our Mexican culture, which in many I think is the door to executing domestic violence. I think even though this has changed in the last years, it has only changed in one small part of the society and we need to continue enforcing equality and values such as respect among all to eventually abolish these things.

• Is there anything you as a son/daughter can do to ase the burden or reduce the mental load?

As a daughter I can stop assuming that things SHOULD be done just because someone is born with a certain gender, learn things intended both for girls and boys, and fight for equality

• What did you learn from what you talked to with your parents?

I learnt that gender inequality has been a thing forever unfortunately, but the good part is that is has been changing for good.

• Write 5 actions to prevent gender inequality:
1. The Housework has to be 50/50
2. All chores are for both, men and women.
3. Theres need to be same work oportunities to women and to men.
4. It has to be equal for both.
5. Sexist comments should not be a "common thing".

What do they think about gender inequality and domestic violence?

- Mom: It is wrong because we are all people with the same rights, and it’s not fair to put everything like cleaning, or laundry on the women’s shoulders.

Do these two issues are all that true for our society, for our home?

- Mom: Fortunately in our home we don’t have that, but there sure is a lot in our society.

Is there anything you as a son/daughter can do to ease the burden or reduce the mental load?

- No, ‘cause I don’t have any problems of gender inequality nor domestic violence in my home.

What did you learned from what you talked to with your parents?

- I completely agree with her because gender inequality nor domestic violence should exist.

• Teach them since they are little to respect the other gender, that both can do the same activities, have the same opportunities, and to not discriminate against someone because of their gender.

I think it’s something that even nowadays is chasing us, I think that we’ve grow in many aspects as human beings and that this still exists in many families is very unnecessary and unfair.

• Do these two issues are all that true for our society, for our home?

Yes they are very true and they are still happening in many homes, and it’s still causing a lot of trouble in our society, because many woman and also man are still going through these issues. And in our home we are completely against it, and we do our best to make everything as fair as posible.

• Is there anything you as a son/daughter can do to ase the burden or reduce the mental load? Yes, although we have people that help us with the house, I still try to help my mom as much as I can, to reduce the load of chores in the house and balance the responsibilities .

• What did you learn from what you talked to with your parents?

That we always have to be fair with everything we do, and that nowadays these issues are much better but they are still a problem.

- Look pretty

- Do the "man work" at home, like fixing broken things
- Be the "man"
of the house, society teaches little boys that they have to man up, that boys shouldn't cry, and that they should know how to do everything around it, except for the "girl's work"

Teach people since they are children to respect the other genders because we are all the same.
Support mixed sport teams to prove that women can do the same as men do.
We should start with choosing people for government charges (such as senator, or president) that actually support gender equity and plan to aware people about domestic violence.
Talk in school about that, such as making debates, projects and presentations about domestic violence and gender equity.
Make public events to aware people about this issues that may happen in your own house and you haven’t even noticed.
Also teach about the different kinds of violence, because physical violence is not the only one, there is also mental and emotional violence, also about manipulation since it’s a kind of violence too.
