  • What suppressed wants, needs, and even memories force their way through symbolically in hallucinations for Macbeth?  
    • Macbeth's ambitions about being king and gaining power can be seen through his interactions with the witches. The witches in every meeting did their best shine a mirror into Macbeth's soul. They only stated what Macbeth had been meaning to hear for a long time. The witches interactions with Macbeth show this.

    - Because Lady Macbeth's life revolves entirely around her husband, it has turned her into an extremely isolated and hysterical character. She's gone a little crazy because of her devotion to her husband.
