The surgeon severed the corpus collosum of the patient to help with the seizures. The corpus collosum facilitates the connection between the left and the right brain.

2. A split brain patient can see things in their left field of vision, but is not able to say that they can see it.

Right brain has facial recognition and creativity, and focuses on the face. Left brain focuses on the elements the picture is made up of, not the face.

We sleep in order to allow our cells to repair themselves, release growth hormones, recharge brain.

2. The sleep cycle is 90 minutes long. The order of the full sleep cycle is NREM 1, 2 3, 4, 3, 2, 1, then REM. Stage 3 and 4 slowly disappear as you sleep. Stage 1 is the best stage to wake up in.

3. We dream during the REM (rapid eye movement) stage. Also called PARADOXICAL sleep.

4.
