I think if we could use some of these to experiments to link music to science or art it would increase overall understanding. I really liked the strings lab.

-Tami

It looks like it could be a class by itself. It is challenging to get all math topics in as it is, so it would be hard to justify adding it to a math class, though.

Yes love this, teaching MS/ HS Phy Sci this is a very cool. I've used similar web based lessons. This is good as a alternative assignment and also as a reteaching assignment .

It is well documented that music and learning go hand in hand. Playing soft music in the background stimulates the brain to use the learning center better. This is something that I have used.

This looks like a really cool resource and I could see using it to relate to fractions in dealing with music scales and whatnot. Having a mathematical understanding of notes and scales really helped me with playing music and I think it would provide students an opportunity to see fractions in action. Baird

This looks like a good resouce to share with parents so that they can explore the experiments at home. It could also be used for a music class.

I like that kids can "see" so much of the music/sound. It would work well with a physics lab/unit focused on sound/wavelengths.

I think parents might be very excited to access some of these experiments, depending on the age of the students and what the students have been learning about in science or music. - Leslie
