You will be creating an artwork (drawing/painting/combo) that utilizes the Grid Method of drawing to help with proportion and accuracy. 

You will choose either a portrait of your trade teacher (or someone famous in your trade) OR an object of something related to your trade (ie: a hammer, hairbrush, meal, etc.)
You will have free choice of media: choose something that you are confident in using.

Paper size= 9x12 (vertical or horizontal) OR a square of your choice: 10X10 - 12x12.

2.  Click and CROP your photo using the ratio 3:4 that is programed in your phone.

3. Save the new version.

4.  Open your grid maker app.  IF your image is Vertical Format, select one of the following:
     9 columns and 12 rows (will produce a grid that is made out of 1" squares)
    6 columns and 8 rows (will produce a grid that is made out of 1 1/2" squares)
     3 columns and 4 rows (will produce a grid that is made out of 3" squares)

5. IF your image is in Horizontal format, switch the columns and rows as listed above (ie: 12 columns and 9 rows; 8 columns and 6 rows; 4 columns and 3 rows)

6.  CUT or get paper that is cut to size 9"x12".
