Alex trembled with fear as Mrs. Linda came out of her house, friendly waving at Alex. the gang laughed hysterically as they walked away. alex's biggest nightmare was coming to life. only now it dawned on him that his parents would hear about this. When I started to head up again, I heard the stair door close. That would mean only one thing, he already reached there. I was so irritated, since I had been the catcher for the past 20minutes and I couldn’t catch up with anyone. I immediately got to the closest storey. I got to the lift and entered it. Knowing my friends, they would be hiding on a floor, so, I spammed all the lift buttons to get to the closest floor. I never even noticed the stranger standing right behind me, in total shock. Suddenly, he tapped on my shoulder and told me, with a oddly strong American accent, “What do you think you are doing, young man?” I gulped in guilt as we waited in the lift to get to the next floor. “Thud!” I fell down because of the abrupt stop. The lights went off and darkness entered the room. I screamed in terror. The stranger turned on his flashlight, and we could at least see the outlines of our surroundings. He pressed the emergency button, which almost immediately alerted the security guards. They said that an engineer would be on their way and they should be out within ten to fifteen minutes. After that, complete silence filled the lift. Despite the darkness, I could still see a super frustrated look on the man’s face. Anger and guilt filled the lift. “You know, if it weren’t for your irresponsibility, we would not be stuck in this situation.” Ten minutes later, the lights turned on and the lift started moving. We got off, only to see a big crowd outside, including my parents. After sometime, when the crowd started to disperse, the man told my parents about the whole thing. I went home ready to face the music.

His bag was always messy, his room was always filled with junk and he never did his own laundry. Little did he know, one day, it would come back to haunt him.
             "Ron, please take care of the new house keys." Ron's mother reminded him before he went to school one day"
                "Okay." Ron replied as he left the house.
                  During class, Ron was showing off that his mother had given him house keys and was telling all his friends that he was more "entrusted" than them. When his class started he did not realise that he had forgotten to put the keys back inside of his backpack and had instead put them on his seat.
                      Before entering the house, Ron realised that he had forgot his keys he went into a panic and had no other choice but to call his mother who had to come home from work just to unlock the door.
                       Whilst at home, Ron's mother also managed to take away any privilege Ron had including his devices as well as his pocket money

        ''What do I have to do to join your gang?'' The others boys in the gang parted to make way for who seemed to be their leader who was a tall, muscular well built boy, quite the opposite of himself, Avery thought.
          '' What use will it be to have someone like you amoung us? You might be able to help us sneak into other people's houses. Do something irresponsible and make sure we're there to witness it then I'll consider you joining.'' Smirking, their leader led them away. That night, Avery sat in his room, racking his brains about what irresponsible thing he was going to do. Then an idea struck him. Grinning at the thought, Avery slumped onto his bed and fell asleep immediately.
              The next day, Avery grabbed his soccer ball and went in search of the gang. Mentally going through the plan in his head, he reassured himself that he was going to succeed.
               When he found them, he led them to his HDB void deck and started a game of soccer, where it was not allowed. They were proving hard to win against. Finally, the ball rolled to Avery's feet and he kicked it with all his might at his neighbour's vase. It fell to the ground with a sickening crack, but Avery smiled and said, '' Here's my irresponsible act. Can I join the gang now?'' 
              '' To late kid. She's seen you. Here she comes,'' said the gang leader. He was right. Avery turned around, and his neighbour resembeled something close to an angry movie monster. She steered him towards his parents house while chewing his head off. His parents gave him a well deserved scolding and Avery bowed his head in shame. You think about what consequences your parents would give you and they suddenly walk through the doorway to hear you tell them the incident. Angry, they ground you for a day as they try to retrieve it. They fail to find it and have to go to the locksmith to make a new pair of keys for the house.

To finally be able to have the house keys instead of waiting outside for your older brother to come and unlock it, albeit only for and afternoon felt empowering. You needed to bring them to school and come home with your sister so that you could unlock the door as your brother was at camp. The next day you went to school, the precious keys in your pocket. Your mother advised you to keep it in your wallet, but you brushed it off, neglecting to mention you had forgotten it at school. Luckily, it was still under your table where you left it, not a cent missing. Classes few past and finally, the dismissal bell rang. You had been dying to show your friends the keys all day. They will think I am so mature with my very own set of keys! You thought happily when you went to pick up your sister. Spotting them among the crowd, you rushed over and announced, "I finally got a pair of keys! Take a look!" You dug around in your pocket, but it was not there. "Um, it's in my other pocket," Still, it was not there. "Actually, I think I put it in my bag!" But no amount of scrummaging, scrounging and sifting would cover the truth-you had lost it. Recalling where you might have lost it, you remembered that you heard a jingle when you were running in the field. Shame burned your cheeks when you had to explain what had happened to your friends. •after hearing the news , Mother rushed home dejected and disappointed at how careless and forgetful jason could be , mother was the bread winner of the family ever since father left and she may not be able to pay for Jason education if he keeps being this careless

•Jason learnt from that moment onwards to remember things and even if he is scared he might forget he should have wrote it on a piece of paper instead.
