         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 2010, McPherson, Kansas was the first school district in the U.S. to opt out of the No Child Left Behind standardized testing. Between then and now, their average ACT score has gone up 46%. If this doesn't show how NCLB is being counterproductive, then I don't know what does. Without having to worry about teaching how to take the tests, teachers can teach content and and morality in a low stress environment. With the use of quantum learning methods, the McPherson school district has officially found a way to make their kids be successful without having to subject themselves to the bologna that the U.S. government tries to put them through.&nbsp;Since then, other counties in Kansas have followed suit .This is just one solid example of how a state is making its own educational policies (how it should be via the constitution) and students are successful. NCLB is bad, and the government should feel bad. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is a really interesting article because it gives an example&nbsp;of a school who disagreed with the NCLB testing, got rid of it, and replaced it with something they believed to be better. Their new testing plan (C3) focuses on the student individual growth rather than how well the school performs as a whole. After they implemented that, their students started doing much better. I find his really interesting because it fixed the issues with testing.</div>]]></description>
