Now, Liberia has been struck with coronavirus like many other countries, but do not have the resources they need to treat the infected. 

This issue pertains to globalization because Liberia is a global south country that struggles to fund enough medical staff for the citizens. Countries with little to no budget cannot combat this virus which causes more people around the world to become infected and possibly die.

Because of this heat, miles of coral reef have been bleached and killed because of the temperature change, leaving wildlife to migrate toward clean reef or open water.

The Great Barrier Reef spans 1,100 miles and houses more than 10% of all fish found in the ocean. With more reef dying means that the animals that live there will also die, and people that rely on the fish to live and trade with will no longer be able to because of what is happening with the global temperature.

When in flight, this biblical swarm covers 30 square miles and eats the amount that 35,000 people would eat in a single day. 

This is an issue of globalization because the farmers are being forced to farm cash crops that are good for trade and economic growth, but not useful to the farmers who farm for their family and community. So, when the locust hit, the salvageable crops cannot be used to benefit the community. The government is in a race to being more economically profitable, but are leaving the people with no freedom on what to produce all the while providing no assistance to those in need after locust swarms.

Higher education means that these women will get better jobs out of college to have a more successful future, but women who get pregnant cannot go to school.

This topic is an issue of globalization because if this were to happen where Western ideas were accepted, there would be outrage. In this case, Westernization would be beneficial for the women of Tanzania so they would be protected if they were to have to take a leave of absence.
