We learned that we get the opportunity to participate in the Science Olympiad. We also get to set our own learning rules by writing down points in different categories on the iPad. We also had a mini game today about having cards and finding its pair by asking "yes no" questions.

I have made a good choice by paying attention to the speaker.

I can do better on actually improving my elaboration skills on elaborating the questions properly I asked to find my pair.

This week’s lesson was great and i got to participate in the mix and match. In that game, i could also learn how to express the meaning of the word i got and i could communicate more with my classmates.

We also got to know more about the teachers and it was very interesting! I am happy i was able to get a chance to join E2K and go to Science Olympiad.

I feel like i can do better by having more deep thoughts to what the speaker is saying. Overall, i think everything is okay for me. I really enjoy E2K.

I really liked the last lesson where we had to find the matching pair and my first word was electric and one of the teachers word was circuit and she asked me to help her with the word material and Ms tern had to word magnetic and i got with a pair twice.

We learnt about the science Olympiad. We also learned about the different strategies to use to learn better. We also played a game where we would get a word and ask a "yes or no" question which is related to the word you got. That helped me because I got to know how to ask questions which are relevant to a topic. I’m looking forward to Science Olympiad.

I think that the best learning of the session is we must ask proper questions in order to get the right answer, which we learned in the game we played. I made a good choice of paying attention to the teachers while they are talking. I’m very happy that I can participate in the Science Olympiad. I love the introduction the teachers made. I want to make improvement in trying to communicate better with my peers.

The experiment was super fun and we got to see the liquid blow up and it was the first time I saw yeast. Seeing the experiment was super cool itself and there were bubbles. However,I am still confused on why we have to add sugar. I wonder when it will stop inflating.

My team and I had planned the correct sequence of steps for our experiment today. We had the corrects steps and we conducted our experiment. We also had a problem with our diagram on IPad, but at last, we found a solution.

Something we did good is arranging the steps using our thinking minds.

Something we can improve on is to add more sugar and yeast to make our balloon inflate faster and bigger.

We learnt how to inflate a balloon with ingredients including yeast. One good choice i have made was listening to instructions so i can do a good job and successfully finish the job. One thing i can improve on is to stop getting distracted as i kept on looking at the balloon. Overall, everything went pretty well as the balloon started to inflate.

Today we did an experiment with yeast. It was about whether yeast could be used to inflate a balloon. We followed our protocol to inflate the balloon. Unfortunately the balloon could not really have much air as the rest of the groups as we did not add all of the yeast and sugar. But at least we managed to learn about this interesting topic and try out this fun experiment.

Unfortunately, I accidentally added to little yeast and sugar, so the balloon did not inflate as much as the other groups.

I learned that when you add yeast with other ingredients and connect the balloon to a container with the liquid inside, a balloon will inflate. I made a good choice by persevering even though we can’t type in the worksheet and went to try again. I can do better in trying out the experiment more patiently.

Our group’s balloon inflated but we wanted it to not inflate. I think the main problem is the boiled water’s temperature is not high enough to kill the yeast.

One thing we did good: We got the first two steps correct for killing the yeast to try to not make the yeast eat the sugar.

One thing we can improve: We should follow the steps about using teaspoons to measure the yeast and sugar even though last week we should put the whole container.

We successfully failed because instead of making it deflated, we made it even more inflated than last week 🥲!! I think it happened like this because the yeast maybe had a reaction with the sugar when we added the balloon and we accidentally shook it 😭. I think we killed most of the yeast but there was a little more yeast inside because we added the yeast first and added normal tap water. If we added boiled water, we might have killed all the yeast inside.

We realised we failed when bubbles started forming but we couldn’t do anything about it anymore 😔 Maybe we should make sure all the yeast is killed before we add in sugar by shaking it more?

It was quite fun to be honest. One good choice i made is making sure everyone agreed to the order of steps i suggested and having thinking minds. One thing i can improve on is adding more deep understanding about the things i learnt durin science lesson.

My best learning of the session is that when you feed yeast food like sugar, it will create carbon dioxide and the balloon will inflate. My best choice of this session is that I discussed with my teammates before I did anything. I can improve on understanding of yeast and do better in my experiment.

I learnt about design thinking and the steps to do that. We must be user-centered, and therefore we have to have empathy. We have to observe, engage and immerse. We then have to define. After defining, we think of ideas and make a prototype. Finally we test our prototype out. This lesson about design thinking is really important to me as I learned how to correctly do design thinking.

We went around the school to find problems that affect Fuchunians daily weekdays and how it can affect their learning environment. We took photos of the problems so we can find soloutions to solve it.

There were many problems we could find but we thought the stuffed animals on the tree in the library was the biggest problem. It can affect people who are allergic to dusty and may cause them to sneeze. We wanted to find out how we could've solved that problem.

We discussed what we should make for our problem. We came up with 2 solutions; a spray that can eliminate dust and a sensor that can track dust on a soft toy.
