You might remember me that in March 2016 I did exposed Barnet Council's awful & terrible actions for wrongfully cancelling disabled persons freedom passes without any reasons whatsoever & that the blog the Barnet Eye awarded me last year December 2016 with the Barnet Eye person of the year 2016. Two Barnet bloggers Roger Tichborne (Barnet Eye blogger) & Mrs Angry (Broken Barnet Blogger) had done very well. Finding out the truth behind the cancellation of freedom passes by Barnet Council & Capita. 

Since I was awarded "Barnet Eye person of the year", I became more & more aware of local affairs in Barnet. Recently, Barnet Council had completely reached a new low. By declaring Sadiq Khan - Mayor Of London the "enemy of the people of Barnet". When I hear it about on Twitter, I was so shocked. Someone named David Longstaff (Tory councillor) tabled the ludicrous motion with title "Is Mayor Khan an enemy of the people of Barnet". 

This is not grow up politics, it is childish politics & yet, all Tory councillors (yes, 32 Tory councillors) voted for the meaningless motion which did sparked outrage on Twitter in Barnet, London & the rest of the UK. Calling London Mayor the enemy of the people? That is playground politics & the council behaved like Trump for using that kind of language with a term "enemy of the people". 

Let me tell you something. Sadiq Khan is not the enemy of the people of Barnet. You might not like him & his Mayoral programme but calling him "enemy" is not going to solve anything. Very irresponsible & out of touch. Logically, it is not right. 

Also Barnet Council is launching a bid to become London Borough of Culture, the council under Tory administration has the bad record. How can they become London Borough of Culture when they closed down venues, music venues, libraries & placed like Church farmhouse & Finchley Carnival. Seriously, how careless is Tory led Barnet Council? It is a insult to us. The Barnet residents. If Barnet wasn't doing all that, it would had the great potential to become London Borough of Culture. Unfortunately Barnet is not like other London Boroughs like Camden (which is famous for music hub like the Roundhouse). 

& then there are Capita - the bureaucrats. Capita bureaucracy have totally disadvantaged us the Barnet citizens. Everything. Outsourcing in Barnet as they are partners with the Conservatives. Responsible for Barnet libraries closure & revoking freedom passes (which they were the ones who wrote the letters to every single freedom pass holders in February 2016 - one month before Tory Barnet cancelled wrongly).

Barnet, our beloved home Borough is broken. Tory councillors & Capita bureaucrats. They screw up everything. 

But let's not despair anymore. We got Barnet election coming soon in May so when the election comes, vote for any party: Labour, Lib Dem, Green. (although I won't tell you what to do but not turning up to vote will be missed opportunity so don't think about throwing your vote away even if the Tories does win which I hope & pray they won't). 

We the Barnet residents need change. A real change so that when we elected councillors, they won't let us down like Tory Barnet councillors. 

I want Barnet Council which does gets on job, I want Barnet Council that cares for people, I want Barnet Council that is putting the community first (which currently we are not getting from the council at the moment) & I want Barnet Council to be Tory-free & Capita-free. Barnet Council without Tories & Capita in it.
