For example, I incorporate many discussions in a partner and whole group setting. I also utilize many writing assignments designed for students to interact.I would also say I tach many lessons that incorporate the productive standards. For each unit I incorporate at least 2-3 writing assignments such as precis, RACE paragrgahs, or other creative writing assignments. The ELD standard Iuse the most is the collaborative communication piece. When we are reading a book or discussing a topic, I encorage my students to share their ideas, make predictions and ask questions. I also focus on comprehension by making sure that my students are actively listening and participating.
