It is when you hit the drum with your left hand, then your right, then left again twice. Then you can switch starting with your right hand, go back and forth. That is a paradiddle. You can start with only one hand, right or left that is up to you. So lets start with the gripping on the stick. You want to hold the stick normally but loosen up the pinky, ring, and middle finger. Hit the drum and make Shure the stick bounces. Also push down on the stick just barely. Now the same with the opposite. Make sure they aren't to far apart so that it makes a BU...DUM.
