Ancient Egyptians invented a process called mummification. They were well preserved, and you could even see their facial expressions! Deceased pharaohs tombs were called pyramids. The pyramids had many passages to fool grave robbers, people who tried to take riches from the dead pharaohs. The tallest pyramid ever made was the Great Pyramid, Giza, Egypt. It was made under the order of pharaoh Khufu. It was originally 481 feet tall, 13 acres wide (at the base), and made of 2.3 million limestone blocks.
