Anyone can participate in citizen science from their own yard. One way to do this is to support the monarch butterfly population. Due to construction, fires, and other reasons, milkweed plants are being cut down more and more every year. Monarch Butterflies only lay their eggs on milkweed plants. Citizens can help the Monarch Butterflies by planting milkweed in their yards.
