At this point in the stories the Jews were getting worried because Jews in different camps had been getting transported to death camps. I chose this quote because it showed how hectic it was and how everyone was trying to hide and go into another persons house who was not a Jew to hide.

At this point in the story Michael and his family were on the train to Auschwitz. I chose this quote because it showed the conditions on the train that the Jews had to stay in for days, and it also showed how little the Nazis cared if the Jews had even died on their way to Auschwitz.

At this point in the story Michael and Bobeshi were going to get some fruit when they suddenly spotted a woman. I chose this quote because it is when Michael meets his mom for the first time since she was sent out of Auschwitz to another camp. Also because everyone thought them Momishu had died because the camp she was sent to burned down and no one survived but Mamishu was sent out of that camp and to another one right before the camp burned down.
