3. OUR VISION is a world free from slavery.
OUR MISSION is to work directly and indirectly with beneficiaries and stakeholders from a grassroots to an international level to eradicate slavery and its causes from the world.

4. OUR STRATEGY

 We believe a world free from slavery will occur when ‘top-down’ and ‘bottom-up’ activities coincide – when people affected by slavery become empowered to claim their rights, when societies and institutions adopt new social norms to reject slavery; and when governments and businesses provide laws and policies to protect people from slavery and implement them through robust practice. To achieve that we use the following approaches:

5. People who hear their message will take more time to think about it and it might impact their actions. It’s good that they aren’t just helping those who are already slaves, but that they are also stopping kids from becoming slaves so that more kids won’t have to experience that.

6. They are funded by donations. Your donation could:

• ensure that all victims of trafficking in the UK have their rights protected and are given access to non-conditional assistance

• provide vulnerable women with information about the risks of migration and domestic work

• help meet the costs of an investigator to gather evidence of forced labour

• contribute to the education of children of bonded labourers 

• help meet the costs of medical services, counselling and shelter for people recently rescued from slavery

• help pay for a social worker in a shelter for migrant domestic workers who have escaped their abusive employers

• contribute towards the costs of pursuing through the court the cases of former victims of slavery

Volunteering: Anti-Slavery International does not currently have office based volunteering or unpaid internship opportunities. In rare circumstances, we may consider applications from those with specialised qualifications and expertise. Help- DEFEND AND RESCUE save child slaves in Pakistan. They work 7 days per week, over 10 hours per day, one meal per day, no medical care, and are most often victims of abuse. We are buying them back from slavery with their parents, providing a job for the parent, renting a dwelling, giving them freedom.....which they deserve.

Thousands of children as young as four are being forced to work in brick factories in Afghanistan. Some of them work up to 12 hours a day, to help pay off debts owed by their families.

To combat modern slavery by collecting resources, building programs, and creating alliances among a network of local and global partners so that every person has the opportunity for sustainable freedom.

4. OUR STRATEGY

We received charity status on August 23, 2011 – the same day UNESCO proclaimed International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and of its Abolition in 1998. Celebrations occur in a number of countries, including Haiti, paying special tribute to the night of 22-23 August 1791 when the uprising of slaves took place in Santo Domingo and led, later on, to the creation of the first Black independent State, the Republic of Haiti. This uprising set forth events which played a major role in the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade. The International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition also pays tribute to those who fought and worked hard to legally abolish the slave trade and slavery throughout the world. We are officially incorporated and registered as a charitable organization under the name Canadians Against Slavery / Canadiens contre l'esclavage (84068 5119 RR0001). Our trade name is Alliance Against Modern Slavery / Alliance contre l'esclavage moderne.
