This promotional video is aimed at frequent internet users because they are the ones who are most impacted by the message. A study conducted by GWI found around a quarter of social media users found new products/ brands through social media marketing (Coppola, J. (2020)). This study included those born between 1955 and 2012 which lines up with our target audience (Coppola, J. (2020)). This shows that our target audience is acessible through online marketing.

What people want from advertisments depends on age. 42% of Gen Z want to be entertained, a third of Millenials want to be educated, Gen X'ers want comedy and Baby Boomers want information (Gorman, D. (2022)). At the heart of all this is that the ad needs to be interesting, it needs humor and to be informative.

The most important aspect in making it a successfull ad is making it unique and memorable. If it is to similar to another ad or has no novelty you run the risk of banner blindness where the ad effectivly becomes invisible (Taqiah, D. (2022)).

Coppola, J.
