Step 1: The Molding and Rolling

First step after the cake mix is prepared, is to crumble the cake into a grainy texture. Then mold the grains of the cake into your desired shape. Most cake pops are made into balls, therefore that's what I did. After that, make sure the shape is smooth because if it is crackly then the frosting will not completely cover it.

Cake pops are such a delicious yet easy recipe. They can come in many different shapes, flavors, sizes, and colors, this is great because every cake pop comes with originality, they are also so easy to make because it's a small shape of baked cake mix covered in whatever flavor coating. In 2011, Angie Dudley, a baker from Georgia, invented the cake pop. Starbucks has increased the popularity of the cake pop, by making 4 delicious and different flavors.
Works Cited:
Bridal Expo Chicago + Milwaukee. N.p., n.d.
Step 2: Chill Your Pops

Next, stick the lollipop sticks into each of the balls. Then, place the cake pops into a freezer, this is so the cake is stable and it does not fall apart when you are frosting them. I placed the cake pops in for 15-20 minutes which was enough for them to chill and hold a firm shape. Something you should take into consideration is that the time will vary depending on how many you put in.

Then, choose your desired flavor of candy melts and dump them in a microwave safe bowl. After that, put your candies in the microwave for ??? seconds. Once your frosting is melted, mix it with a spoon so it has a firm shape and no bubbles are present. Finally, let the candy melts sit for ??? so it's not steaming hot when you dip your cake pops in.

Finally, you can take the cake pops out of the freezer and get ready to dip! Dip each of the cake pops into the icing, one by one. When you are dipping them make sure the whole pop is covered in frosting. Place your cake pops in an upright position for ??? minutes without them touching anything else, so they don't get ruined while they dry. When they are finished, you are ready to sit back and enjoy!

The first time I had a cake pop was around 3 years ago at my sister in law's baby shower. They were round and blue with a cute bow that said "It's a Boy!". I ate about 3 of them because that's just how good they were, and I even took some home! That same year for Easter, my sister and I made bunny shaped ones, I fell even more in love with them because now I knew how easy it was to make one of my favorite desserts, since then I've made them over 10 times!
