" It's a temporary measure," Dad told me... But he never got around to that, either, and as Brian and I watched, the hole for the Glass Castle's foundation slowly filled with garbage."

This picture represents how Jeannette felt with the Glass Castle, slowly as timed passed (time glass) she was realizing that it was never going to happen and where the time glass is broken, it represents Jeannette's dream shattering. This is an example of Broken Promises because her dad promised many times that he was going to build the Glass Castle but never did. In the quote she realized it wasn't going to happen and slowly watch as the hole she and Brian had dug, filled up with garbage.

“In the hallway, Lori and dad got into a loud argument over who was responsible for pushing Maureen over the edge. Lori blames dad for creating a sick environment, while dad maintained that Maureen had faulty wiring. Mom chimed in that all junk food Maureen ate had led to a chemical imbalance, and Brian started yelling at them to shut the hell up or he’d arrest them.”
The image reflects Lori and Rex arguing after Maureen's bail is denied. They were chaotic and as always Brian has to stop them. He yells at them to shut up or he was going to arrest them. The quotes demonstrates that Lori, Rex, and Rose Mary are chaotic and Brian puts them in order.

" She added that you should never hate anyone, even your worst enemies." "Everyone has something good about them," she said. "You have to find the redeeming quality and love the person for that."
The image reflects how Rose Mary is all smiley and happy. She told Jeannette that she has to accept people even those who aren't good people. That she has to find the good in someone and love them.

" I could not imagine what my life would be like- what the world would be like-without him."
The image reflects Jeannette and her father's relationship. There is a kid and a father, similar to Jeanette and her dad. Even after everything she has been through because of her father, he stole money from her, she was afraid that she was going to become an alcoholic like him, he took her to a bar so she could distract a man so Rex would be able to win, and so much more. After all that, she still loves him and that is unconditional love for her father.

" The next day they visited, Brian's head was wrapped in a dirty white bandage with dried bloodstains... and cracked his head open on the floor, but she and dad decided not to take him to the hospital."
The doctor image reflects where Rex demonstrates he doesn't like doctors and he doesn't trust them. Rex doesn't want any help from them even when his children are injured. He isn't satisfied that they could help their kids. Jeannette caught on fire because she was a three old who boiling sausages and her tutu accidentally caught on fire. Doctors helped her get better and watched her. Her brother cracked open his head and their parents didn't want to take him to the hospital and left him like that. That represents self-sufficiency.

She is upset and apologizes for not inviting him to her graduation, in a way she apologizes for not wanting him there for the person he is and she begins to have regret.
