I found the 2nd exercise interesting, but maybe a few  of the words chosen as comparison were slightly missleading for your lesson aim. They  yet well  focused on  target language in a whole so it worked the same .

- Hill isn't pronounced the same way as heel/heal though ;)
- The sentences had some language they didn't know but I think it was good to introduce them to other language especially since they were familiar with some of the TL. 
- For freer practice, could have been useful to rewrite the target language on the slide to remind them.
- Just a heads up that during correction, you corrected under "Avoid saying" so the corrected answer ended up under that heading and not under "instead say" so if a ss took a screenshot and went back to look at it, they might think those sentences are wrong.
