First day of my internship. I listen to the briefing about the company and the system they have been using. I met my CEO and manager to know the top management that own and manage the company. 

They are very nice, and they decided to put me at the front desk and learn about ticketing and reservation using Sabre. 

They also talk about associated company that they are working together with. They called my mentor to assist me to my workplace. 

Miss Patimah tells me that I need to get my computer ready and set up so and said that I need to learn the system right away to get the certificate of Sabre. 

One of the seniors ask me to key in the customer's name that register during Matta Fair, and they need and assist very quick, I lend my hand so that they can finish it faster. So, the first day went by very quick and it is time to go back home.

Second day of my internship is very challenging because the training is quite difficult to understand because it involves the codes and great understanding. 

I learned about Sabre system, and I will attach the picture here as examples. It has 41 chapters, and it is self-learned. 

No one will teach about the coding, and we need to understand how the system works. I spend my day to learn around 6 chapters.  

I took quite some time because I really need to focus.

Third day of my internship, I learned about how to communicate with the customers and pick-up the phone. 

The phone will only rings twice in my department and will transfer to another department if no one answer and if still no one answer the call, it will transfer to the boss, and we do not want that to be happened. 

We will assist customers that walk-in while trying to serve the customer that WhatsApp and emailed to us. We need to reply to the customer on the same day to maintain our service. 

There are many customers who reach out to ask for help to search for the flight ticket most of them are foreign. Our customer, local and foreigner mostly look out for international flight.

Today is my fourth day of internship. Today I have finished my training online of Sabre center. I have earned my certificate of Sabre training which I attached here as a reference. 

One of my colleagues took Emergency Leave and left me and my mentor only working for today. 

A customer walk-in today and my first customer that I assist to take the information while my mentor assists another customer. 

He looks out for the first-class cabin and need wheelchair. He also asks for certain airline which is Emirates and Emirates offer free transportation for the first-class customers. 

I also multi-tasking which also pick-up calls from other customers that need information.

Today I learned how to reply to the customer's WhatsApp and do the booking.  It quite confusing because it has a lot of steps and the customers enquiry sometimes always changing and we have to be careful with the details. 

My boss gave her employee a lot of chocolate and remind us to eat after iftar. My manager has prepared the refer letter to the bank because the allowances will be transferred to that account. 

My boss also asked about how I am doing and what is the progress, am I fine. It is all great.

Saturday we only work half day and once in two weeks. I have done my booking again today and it less difficult than yesterday. 

We have less customer and just settle down the previous day, customers that we have not assist yet.

Today I have assisted around 6 booking for my customer. I arrived at my office around 11.30am today because I went to CIMB bank branch first to open my bank account. It is located at Setiawangsa. 

This is because my boss asked me to open the account so they can give my allowance using it. 

It was super hectic because a lot of customers asking during weekend which is Sunday, and we have to update them what can we do for them. The rate quite high today compared to previous day. 

My manager keeps asking me how I am doing. Am I fast learner or not. 

Luckily, she is surprised by how much I have grown during the second week, but I am capable to do the booking by myself already.

We just do the normal routine. I have checked the queue for today's event so that the booking that we have made is not canceled by airline. 

If it has been canceled, then we might get the penalties. Penalties mean we have to pay whatever the cost the airline will charge. 

It is an individual responsibility to check and being charged for whatever reason. 

I have made only one booking for today as of the number of customer is less than the day before.

Hi, it is me again. Today, I replied to some agents. The agents mean the one who conduct a travel agents and tour but checking the flight or ask us to issue the tickets. 

It is a little bit difficult compared to individuals. I have replied to the WhatsApp of the agents and issued the tickets for 8 people at the same time in the same PNR. 

I was so lucky that I have a chance to learn Sabre during my internship. I always confused of the coding but the notes always helping me and usually we need to self-learning. 

My mentor and colleague are ready to help but the concept is always learned once and do it yourself. Working at front desk really need a lot of patience and manners. 

My mentor also got some issue with the customers about the ticket before the Covid. Our agency cannot do anything about the ticket, and it is up to Airline whether they going to change the date or cancelled the ticket. 

We cannot do anything about it except for emailed the airlines.

Today, I made a lot of booking too. Most of them are agents. There is also a customer that walk-in and by the tickets to Lahore by Sri Lankan Airlines. 

I gave him 3 opinion and ask me what the best between 3 airlines is, which is Pakistan Airlines, Sri Lankan Airlines and Malindo Airlines. 

I advise him to take Sri Lankan Airlines because Pakistan Airlines, most of the flight is delay. 

Malindo Airlines need to add on meals and only allowed to carry 20kg. Even though the Sri Lankan Airlines have transit but it only for an hour or 2 hours. 

He finally wants to buy that one. I was quite rushing because I do not perform my prayer yet at that time. After that, I continue to reply to the customers WhatsApp.

Today is the last day of the week. Nothing much to do. Just answering customers enquiries about the flight itinerary. It is less hectic than previous day. 

Today, I do not check for the queue since my mentor has clear all the booking that has not been canceled yet. We have to cancel the booking from the website if there is no further interaction with the customers. 

It is cleared because our chairman Mr. Manjeet ask to clear the queue since there are too many of them. 

In case the queue has not been cancelled during the duration given, there will be penalties charge by the airlines. 

It is pouring and I extend a few more minutes before heading back home.

I would give them according to what they ask and based on their itinerary. Sometimes, they even gave the flight number to check the flight. But they refused because the price whether will be the same or even higher. 

This is because the fare is up to seat availability. If they ask specific like this, we have to key in manually using the same platform. But we have to choose wisely because we only see the fare after their itinerary has been completed. 

But usually as we key-in manually, they will cost a bit higher. It is different with the automatic system because they already compared the best price and lowest one compared to all.

I need to make a booking for an agent which is other tour company. But it is very complicated because he ask for a cheap flight but want to adjust according to his plan. 

It is understandable that we search according to what they want but normally it will cost more. He does not want to pay more and choose the cheapest flight but want a higher flight itinerary. 

When we explained he did not listen. In my case, my mentor told him and help me on that period. He still did not want to listen. 

We just said that we hope he understand that no seat available on what time he wants to be arrived. He keeps on repeating the same things.

Today I assist someone who looking for a ticket from Rome to Athens. It seems like the price is very cheap, but the Airlines is a bit unusual to me. 

When we book, the flight is fine. But, when we want to be pricing the flight, the flight shows UC which is no seats available. 

I canceled the booking and rebook all the things back, but still cannot pricing. When my mentor check, the flight have no stock we do not book using that Airlines. 

My mentor helped me to refund their money. Sometimes, the system will have problems when we want to issue the ticket but the customers already paid. 

That what make them mad. It is not our fault that sometimes airlines increase the fare according to availability and classes. But, the customers still not understand.

Hi, today I learned how to change the date of the customers. They want to change from 14 April into 30 April and we need to know how to count the penalties, fare different, taxes different and date change fee. 

It is up to the airline's rules, and terms and conditions. We really need to be careful when do the booking. This is because if left the words like MISS for girls, MSTR for boys and MR for man and MRS for woman, MS for woman who still not married. 

These words seem like not a big deal, but it is very important when key in their information. 

We also need to check the spelling and most flight classes usually do not allow the change of the surname or delete the passenger's name. So, we need to be extra careful.

Well, today we got a promotion from Emirates Airlines. Someone from other department has made the design and my supervisor blast it to all customers. All customers, which mean a lot of WhatsApp we need to reply. 

As usual, every Monday and Friday I would wear a formal outfit. Next Monday, my boss would have a meeting with me regarding the Hari Raya leave. 

All the problems have been solved with the agents and he finally got the itinerary that he wanted but with a higher fare. 

When my supervisor blasts the promotion templates, the old chat will be down there, and we need to scroll a lot just to reply to their chat. 

We need to key in manually to get the promotion because the auto did not work for the promotion. It is quite tiring because after we done the customer, we need to help another customer and key in another code.

That is all for today and tomorrow is public holiday our office is closed.

Today is where I have done most booking by front desk and also agent. It is quite tiring because we need to handle the customers very carefully and I am having a flu. 

I can access Powersuite today to make my own invoice. So, we need to do invoice every day before we leave to go back home. 

Before this, I am not authorized to do the invoice and other people need to do it for me. 

For my meeting and Miss Harinder happened informally which is she told me that Eid day leave only for three days. I am okay with that because it is my responsibilities. 

As usual we need to reply to the customers that asking the questions and have any inquiries regarding the tickets. 

I have made a mistake when I assist a company where it should be corporate job to do it.

Today I have done the booking for 10 pax which is KUL-CHC-KUL on 18SEP and return 28SEP. Christchurch located in New Zealand, and I asked for visa to make a booking. 

The person that wants to make the booking said that Malaysian passport do not need the visa but only arrival visa. 

The person in charge in visa told her that they need visa now to enter New Zealand. At first, she do not want to hear but he said that if anything happened or you are stuck at the airport it's on yours. She slowly settled down and listened to him. All we wanted is the best for our customers and she do not want to listen. 

Luckily, we got someone who expert in visa and explain in detail. Today, I am going to attach the passport we need to insert in the APIS.

Today I had a meeting with other department together with Mr. Manjeet and Miss Harinder. They just want all of their staff know how to use the Powersuite and make their own invoice without asking helps from account department. 

They have to spend more money on their license but they want to try to be like a bigger travel agent companies. The IT also come and fix my computers and pc and add some tools that still not complete. 

They also have new apps called ChatGPT. Technology nowadays are very advance and we just can give the orders like give 5 days trip to Europe and they will give the suggestion and we can remove or add the place or activities that we like. 

It is very impressive to have such things in a company so that we can save time and do other things. As our boss told us, our department already used to Powersuite that others think it is difficult to do. 

This is because account department done that for them for good and make their team works piled up. Thankfully, boss has thought the solution of that problem.

This morning I came to the office as usual. Miss Harinder has a meeting with my supervisors Miss Fatimah and asking about my performance. 

She offers me to work there after I finish my internship. She also asked about the leave I want to apply. 

I said I would extend my internship for the leave that I apply. She also asked for me to start working straight away after I finish my internship. 

She asked about my allowance has been allocated rightfully and she is wonderful. 

My workplace very comfortable and I like working here. She is asking how she can help me to make me more comfortable. She is so nice and a great boss. This is the example of the Powersuite that we had meeting the day before.

I also got an offer to move to corporate team which they will handle customers that have companies, embassy, government or non-government organization.

Today work half day makes me not having enough time to assist all of the customers. 

All I can help is mostly agents and tour department. Replying their email and email need to do carefully because email is something formal unlike WhatsApp we can use short-form and informal chat with the customers. 

They called me to do their itinerary. Personal WhatsApp is left unopened because I do not have enough time. My mentor said imagined that she is not there to help me and I managed to do it myself. 

Luckily, she help me with the other customers that WhatsApp and walk-in. Today she taught me about code of entry for reissue because I change their travel date and reissue.

Today as usual I assist the customers that are asking for flight ticket. It is the longest list of PNR that I have done. More PNR means more invoice I need to do. 

One of the invoice is wrong means I need to email account department to void the invoice. Once the invoice has been void, I will continue to do the other invoices including the walk in and agents. 

Walk in customers that I assist today is going to Turkeye which is Istanbul. He pay by cash and I am doing his invoice at the same time. This is because his invoice need to be done for receipt to be generated. If no invoice made, means no receipt. 

I am going home late because of pouring rain and I am just gain my healthy state after having flu.

Today I learned how to do the agents from China how to issue the ticket using credit card. 

This agent is quite different because she will ask to issue a lot of PNR compared to other agents. 

Sometimes, the card will reach the limit and need to change to another card. This happened because usually she will transfer a large amount to our account and issue the ticket using the credit that we have. 

But, there is some problems with the payment. She said she already paid but account department said we still do not receive it yet. 

Both sides need to call bank to confirm about this matter first. Then, later today account department said we can issue the ticket already. 

Here, I will attach the invoice that has been made by the other agents which is business class. 

It cost a lot of money for them to issue the ticket with us. That means we are very trusted travel agency.

Today I have issue a lot of tickets. This is very tiring because my mentor and my colleague have meeting regarding hotels booking. 

They started their meeting since 12 pm till 3.30pm and I handle everything by myself. Luckily everything goes well and anything that I could not handle will be hold until they finish the meeting. 

I show you here how Nepal passport. I need to confirm with account department regarding the previous payment. 

If no payment made, we cannot issue the ticket and restricted for them to transfer the money before we made the booking. 

This is to prevent them from the increased fare and needed to paid full amount. This thing can make the customer dissatisfied.

Today is the last day before public holiday which is Eid festival. Today quite slow compared to yesterday. 

The road is already clear, a lot of people has take their leave for Eid. A lot people also looking for urgent ticket which is very high if want to buy on the same day. 

Some customers are buying after Eid because of the fare that increase during holidays. Ticket issuance for today is little compared to previous day in this week. 

However, people are still buying tickets and I manage to do dummy booking for hotel based on my customers request. 

We do not responsible if it not pass the immigration. Usually we did not do dummy booking but because of the customers seems need it very much, we have to do it.

This is my first day go to work after a long break from Eid holiday. Things getting back to normal and customers are looking for tickets. 

There is a customer that walk in and looking for a ticket to Salvador. He does not want a ticket that transit in USA because if transit in that country, they need to apply visa and it makes their preparation getting more complicated. 

Unfortunately, the itenary that he want is not possible in our system. From KUL TO AMS, AMS TO PHY, PHY TO SAL. 

There is no seat available and the other option is going to USA. He is not satisfied and ask us to find it for him. But, nothing we can do to help him because it is the airlines route. We cannot simply change that. 

That is my ticket that I issue today. For some agent, they do not have access to Sabre or Amadeus means we have to sent the ticket copy or we call as e-ticket.

Today we had a meeting with Mr Manjeet regarding the internal issue between ticketing and accounts department. 

To be specific, issue of corporate team and accounts department. Boss call us for a meeting because they made a complaint on each other. 

Boss said we need to learn on how to solve it ourselves without involving him. I issued almost Rm13000 today, booking for 2 person. 

He paid by cash and also card because he brought cash only Rm12000.

Today I make two booking for tour department from KUALA LUMPUR to HANOI but diferrent date. One is 11SEP and one more is 25SEP. 

All of other things is as usual. My previous customer that did not do the payment and made the booking has been canceled by airlines reach out again today. 

He asked to make a new booking and I did. Luckily, this time he paid. The concern happened because we cannot make the booking more than once. If not, the airlines will send the ADM and it cost money. Means, the workers need to paid the penalties. 

Even though we can argue with the airlines but still. Prevent is better than fight. I attach the picture of my new schedule on who will working on Saturday.

Today a lot of Pakistan customers especially who arrived or depart at Islamabad asking about their ticket confirmation, and new timing. 

This is because Imran Khan their ex prime minister is arrested at Islamabad. They said people are crowded because of the gathering and this big news shocked everyone else. 

We confirm that the airlines had no delay and going as the original one. Number of customer today a bit little compared to yesterday and previous day and thankfully it happened during my colleague Emergency Leaves. 

If not, we are going to have a lot of pending because short of staff.

Today the customer’s number is low just like yesterday. We issue mostly agents PNR and I do a lot of reissue today and luckily can manage to do it better than previous day. 

Date change can be confusing especially they are used ticket one way or no show. We will check availability date and mostly on same day with a different date because airlines fare sometimes according to the day also.

There is also some people who met the boss themselves to ask for less even though it is only RM10. Our profit only RM6. Boss gave the fare and discount as he wanted because he is our long-time customer. 

There is also birthday celebration at 4pm as it is one of the staff birthday's today. We just going along with the other staff and they are sharing Secret Recipe's cake which I skip because I am on diet. 

The environment of our company is very great. It is healthy and very supportive on each other.

Today, my mentor blast the chat of Pakistan Airlines’ promo but mostly in May. Other month, have no seat available. Pakistan Airlines, Lahore only available on Sunday which means only 2 weeks left before we finish this month. 

A lot of customers are looking for something that are different with the promo. 

Sometimes, they even get mad because the promo is not at their city.

Today I made a dummy booking for 52 pax and from various country. The purpose for dummy booking is to apply for visa. 

The country like South Africa, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, South Sudan, Barbados, Uganda, Malaysia, Ivory Coast, and Ghana. 

This is based on the request from our client to manage their travelers visa approval. 

Usually, we do not make the dummy booking because it is not that legal but according to them, they will issue the ticket with us after their visa been approved, we will make for them regardless.

I tried to check today whether we can raised the invoice or not. It turns out we still cannot do. 

We do update to the sales folder so it is easier later on, we just raised it when available.

Today three people from my department on leave. All of us struggle because we have a lot of emails that need to be done. 

I am going back home 7.30pm today because I help my other colleague that are going to India to purchase AIG insurance which cover for her trip. 

I handle UN emails alone with the help from colleague. Usually, it is my colleague who manage all the difficult emails and enquiry. 

Luckily, they are all supportive and gave some help and the emails that we cannot finish will be flag and colored so that we can follow up the next day. 

We do acknowledge so that client does not feel left out.

We are having a busy day replying to the emails.

Emails from the United Nations is a lot. Luckily, the person that MC can work from home. 

We are short of staff and the clients keep calling us to settle their emails.

Today is my last day of my internship. Everything is under control.

One of my clients ask me to update to the hotel that the traveler need to check in early but only one person out of three.

I also need to follow up the hotel with the customers so that the traveler will not be charged at all because it is my responsibility.

Lastly, I do the transport voucher as the client keep asking and calling. After all done, the client calls my colleague to thank me for helping her.
