Mare’s emotions got the better of her and she exploded the aircraft they were using to escape from Maven. This caused someone that is able to manipulate metal to capture them in a cage. Mare traded herself for the other prisoners and Maven agreed. He let them go and took Mare by herself.

The ending made me upset just because I was hoping for a happy ending.
