There is SO MUCH stuff out there! Where do I begin? I sometimes feel overwhelmed about what apps to try or what websites to dive into. I liked that this article talked about not having to "master them all at once". I love the idea of "20 Time". I think kids love to go out and explore and find new stuff. They aren't fearful! They can teach us so much! I tell them that I don't know it all and that I am always learning something new! -Cassie

I can understand the need to feel like a "technology guru" and soooo not be one. With second graders I feel that they will depend on my knowledge more than sixth graders will, but by giving them more technology opportunities to work in, I will better equip them to have other "avenues" to go down to find what they need. They have started to figure out how to get back on to sites that they get kicked off of, so there is progress. I think that my best bet is to use my summer to become more acquainted with the plethora of sites and apps out there.

I think I was more nervous than the students when we rolled out one-to-one. However, I have found that it is really neat for the kids to learn with me as I go. They realize that adults don't know everything and sometimes even adults have to learn to troubleshoot. I also love to see the students becoming comfortable enough to help each other as they work through different activities with technology.

I like how this article gives permission and explains why it isn't practical to try to 'know it all'. The only constant is change and that applies to technology for sure! The kids learn to problem solve, help each other, and find interest and opportunity in learning 'how to' navigate technology on their own and in class. Finally, I liked how the technology was spread through types of tasks and subjects: science, coding, independent projects, etc..
