<title>What&#39;s the difference between a fear and a phobia? - Well, all humans are on some level, afraid of the dark, because of what could be in it. Every human is afraid of being hurt or killed, or falling. These fears are all rational. Phobias, however, are irrational fears that don&#39;t always make sense. For example, arachnaphobia is irrational. Most spiders are harmless, and the ones that can hurt you usually won&#39;t unless provoked. </title>
