Vasco da Gama
Vasco da Gama was born at 1460 in a Kingdom of Portugal.
He was born in a family of  wealthy knight.He is believed 
to have been educated in 
mathematics and navigation before joining the navy.

He first proved his capabilities
when King John II sent on a mission.The succesful completion of this mission established him as a fearless
sailor and earned him a population.Later King Manuel sent da Gama on a mission to 
find a maritime route to the East.
da Gama reached India and became to be the first European who reached India by sea.

Route to India earned him much respect and he was made the 
Portuguese viceroy in India

He died at 55 years old

He sailed around the southernmost tip of Africa in 1488,reaching the Indian Ocean from Atlantic.

He also was the first European
who that did so.

He died at 29 of May 1500. On
