Brave New World occurs 600 years in the future. The world has submitted to domination by World Controllers, whose primary goal is to ensure the stability and happiness of society. The novel begins at the Central London Hatchery and Conditioning Center, a production factory for human beings. A group of students receives a tour of the facilities by the director. In chapter 2, the students continue their tour of the Central London Hatchery and Conditioning Centre. They watch "Neo-Pavlovian Conditioning," a technique that trains infants. Here, the use of electric shocks and sirens in response to touching roses or books modifies the behavior of Deltas. This discourages behavior that might destabilize society, such as allowing Deltas to read books and acquire knowledge. In chapter 3, the student tour goes outside where they watch some children playing a game of Centrifugal Bumble-puppy. The game is elaborate and requires complex machinery. They learn that the heavy reliance on machinery increases consumption of material goods and thus boost the economy.

1. Men and women are not equal in the book "Brave New World" the women are just considered to be there for the easy stuff such as cleaning; the men are able to be whatever they want.
2. I believe everything is set in a futuristic tone because the author wanted to share his opinion or thoughts of what the future will be like.
3.I believe that the people are treated very different just based on their name, their class, and their gender, etc.
4. I believe that the "civilians" are happy with their lives because they have grown up like this and are used to the world being this way.
5. I believe the scientist think that its okay to test this because they have authority giving permission and they believe its the only way to figure out the experiment.
