         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>The purpose of her early work was to inform and influence.  She intended to sway Americans to be more patriotic and more feminist and she did this with full page comics and captions.  Her later work was more for aesthetics and consisted of comics with less of a message.</strong></div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
