the woman rights movement in the 1960s and 1970s goal was to reform the workplace inequality such as denial of access to better jobs and salary inequity, via anti-discrimination laws. Betty Friedman decided to found an organization to fight sexual inequality. they fought for equality by lobbying politicians and congress. there goal was not to dismantle what had been created before them but to open up the workplace to reform. even tho Betty may have started there wasn't a hierarchy they did things collectively and experimentally. The group accomplished its goals by focusing on the small victories that they could win and over time they accumulated and led to great change
