]]> 2016-08-11 08:55:25 UTC https://padlet.com/eok8447/Learning_log_16/wish/117983433 This has been a very worthwhile course with lots of useful, practical ideas in every module.I have particularly enjoyed getting to know Padlet and I can see that I will use it for my own topic planning and lesson planning as well as using it in class for the children to add ideas to. It is so handy to be able to link all types of files to the one page without being over-complicated.I also am excited about using evernote as an e-portfolio record for the children and I have saved the video to my padlett wall so that i won't forget and will return to it in September. Hopefully it will mean the end of paper folders and poly pockets in the future.Of particular interest to me from the aspect of lesson planning was the Google Cultural Institute. I can see great use for this with sixth class. It will be a great addition to SESE (and other subjects) and the children will love to look up information that is colourful and informative. Google docs looks useful for homework upload and pair work with the children to allow them to comment on each other and help each edit their work. The tablets will definitely increase group work and pair work in my room this year.Scoilnet learning paths will allow me to plan the websites the children can look up. They will still have the feeling of discovering it for themselves but I know I shall be steering them in the right direction. The scoilnet Maps offer extra tools that will become very useful during geography and maths. Finally this course offered real advice on how to connect tablets to the board, explaining the cables and showing us what is needed to connect to the board.
