During the Hindenburg crash Werner remembered that there was a hatch door that he used to bring supplies on board the airship. He searched and found the door and kicked it open to escape the fire. After the crash Werner went back to the crash site and found his pocket watch that his grandfather had given him.

I learned that the Hindenburg disaster happened on May 16, 1937. 35 people died, and 62 survived. The Hidenburg was the first flying hotel. It caught fire when they was trying to land in New Jersey. Werner survived. He even found his pocketwatch afterwards.
