I chose to use Padlet for my format because it was very familiar to me. My favorite resource would be the "Why We Need Diverse Books" article because it fully describes the importance of diversity for books and other resources. My favorite book in my project is "The Black Book of Colours" because it explains the brilliance of using Braille to those who are blind and how cool it will be to teach others how to use it.

I chose this format because I really enjoyed learning how to use google sites this semester, and found out that my library system uses it as well. My favorite resource would have to be the "Diverse Book Finder" website I have listed. It has a plethora of information that is well organized and kept up to date.
My favorite book would have to be "Drawn Together" because I have loved drawing since I could hold a pencil, and I use to doodle with my mom a lot growing up. The connect of using art for communication really touched my heart.

Great stories!
The Lucky Broken Girl by Ruth Behar was my favorite as the story of a Jewish Cuban girl who is bedridden due to broken legs. She must learn to be creative and make the most of tough and lonely circumstances.

I chose to use Google Sites because it's a free platform and I can edit and organize my content the way I wish multiple times. My favorite resource from this project is We Need Diverse Books. I love how the site brings compiles so many resources in one site. Additionally, I have started following WNDB on Instagram and love how they share relevant resource lists for every occasion. My favorite book from this project had to be Tiger Boy by Mitahli Perkins. I could not put the book down. I loved how Perkins kept me engaged and wondering if Neel would rescue the tiger cub and win the scholarship.

I liked the idea of having it in the same place as my other resources from this class and figured it would be easy to add materials to it with time. My favorite resource was the Smithsonian's Book Dragon. It wasn't the easiest to navigate, but it had some great books on it. Since I focused on middle grade books, I didn't have the chance to read them all, but I absolutely loved Other Words for Home by Jasmine Warga--it's a must read!

It allows for a very professional product without a huge investment of time.
My Favorite resource is the SLJ Diverse Books Survey- the survey is really interesting, but they also provide a wealth of resources for diversifying your collection.
So many great books to choose from, but I loved Dreamers by Yuyi Morales. It's an amazing memoir of her immigration into the US and the illustrations are beautiful.
The school where I'll be working is part of a purpose-built community and serves a mixed-income housing complex. Most of the students are POC and also experiencing poverty, so I wanted to include resources that will reflect those dynamics.

I used a Padlet! I've found it tends to be what the teachers I work with are most familiar with and it's fairly interactive- readers can leave their feedback/comments right there on the page.

Favorite resource: https://socialjusticebooks.org/
I liked it bc I felt like it was broad enough but still organized enough to help most librarians find the books they might need for their collections.

Favorite book: Islandborn by Junot Díaz because it was probably the book that spoke the most to me as an American-born Latina who had to find her own community here in the States.

I chose to use google sites because it was the easiest way to make the assignment available since I made it for the final lit log. My favorite resource that I included in the project is the Diverse Book Finder because it is the easiest database to use. My favorite book that I included in the project is Crown: An Ode to the Fresh Cut by Derrick Barnes because it is about how a haircut can boost ones confidence.
